The Flash Teddy Sears IS Jay Garrick

I agree that was a great episode. The problem is, the writers have clearly had trouble figuring out what to do with Jay ever since then. So far, Jay hasn't done much other than sitting around sulking, talking awkwardly with Caitlin, and occasionally yelling at Wells. The writers really need to craft more purpose for Jay if he's going to be a useful player this season.
He kinda feels like this season's Eddie Thawne.

Since Jay's Earth-1 counterpart is Hunter Zolomon, I wonder if he will become the new Reverse Flash down the line.

When Jay's got his powers, he owns. Hopefully the next serum gets them back permanently.

If Jay Garrick runs around as the Flash on Earth 1, won't people think that it's just the same Flash everyone's always seen, just that he's got himself a new costume and ditched the mask?

That will stop the first time they have public team up.

I kinda hope that Jay is revealed to be Zoom at this point because. he's been so under used as a character this season. Either give him is speed back or kill him.

How can he be Zoom though? He's back on earth 1 while Zoom is holding Barry captive on earth 2

He's future Zoom. Sick and mentally unstable from the serum that Caitlyn is probably going to make to help save present day Jay.

Zoom being Jay or Henry. I'd want him to be Jay but I feel like it's Henry.

Maybe it's Jay, because otherwise he's done nothing all season and has been a bit of a waste with no real purpose to his presence. But if Zoom were Jay then that puts everything in a new light.

Not to mention, it would make revealling Hunter Zolomon a complete waste of time.

I'm leaning towards Caitlyn inadvertingly creating Zoom by treating Jay Garrick's speed affliction, and that the Zoom we're encountering now is the Future Jay Garrick who has gone mad and traveled back in time.

I have a terrible feeling Jay is Zoom considering all the Flash crew of Earth 2 are the Zoom Crew. They are throwing us off by looking for the opposite of Jay or the opposite of Barry, the opposite of Flash is Zoom and Jay is Earth 2 Flash/Zoom. Its like they've merged Earths 2 and 3. Not wholely sure I like it. Grandpa Flash seems sacred to me.

I hope they don't use time travel as the excuse as to why he was under their noses all along. They did that last year.

If he turns out to be Zoom though, then he couldn't be on Legends, because he wouldn't be someone of no significance in history and therefore easily taken from the timeline by Rip Hunter.

I really doubt he's Zoom, I also completely loathe that theory on every level.

So do I. I want a finale where Zoom is sucked of his speed to give Jay back his speed and to empower Jesse and Wally. I actually thought Jesse was going to be injected with the Flash speed Wells took but it wasn't to be.

That would leave us with three missing main speedsters, Bart Allen, Max Mercury and XS. (Johnny Quick, Jai and Iris are unlikely to be possible in this universe)

EDIT: Forgot The Tornado twins but they'd be secondary to Bart and XS

What surprised you the most about tonight's episode of "The Flash"?

"The Flash" Recap: A Great Rescue and a Great Loss
Tonight on "The Flash" the team staged a prison break to rescue Barry and Jesse, and one character suffered a brutal fate at the hands of Zoom.
The man in the iron mask -- while he was seen just briefly at the end of last week's episode, he didn't look like an easter egg character -- he didn't have any symbols on his body or in his cell that would signal who he was underneath the mask. In tonight's episode, he sat in his glass cell tapping out some kind of code. At first Barry through it was a signal, but Jesse, as tired and hurt as she was, thought it was nonsense. When Barry reminded her of her father's words, that the only person in the world smarter than him, was her, hope was restored a bit, and she conceded that perhaps it was a code. Turns out it was a "Tap Code" that P.O.W.s used in World War II. The code spelled out three letters: J-A-Y. When Barry asked if that meant Jay Garrick, he shook his head yes. When Barry tried to comfort the man by telling him that Jay was safe on Earth-1, the man freaked out and rapidly started shaking his head. Was the man asking about Jay Garrick, or was he trying to spell his own name? Is the man in the mask the real Earth-2 Jay Garrick? If Zoom was trying to harness speed from speedsters, it would make sense that he would be collecting different versions of The Flash. If that is Jay Garrick, then who is the man posing as Jay on Earth-1? So far there are two people he could be.

He could be either be Edward Clariss/The Rival, Jay Garrick's comic book adversary from Earth-2 who attempted to recreate Jay's speed through a serum called Velocity 9 -- sound familiar? He could also be the Earth-2 version of Hunter Zolomon. A few episodes back Jay showed Caitlin the Earth-1 version of himself, a man named Hunter Zolomon. In the comics, Zolomon was Wally West's greatest adversary, his Zoom. If this Garrick is really Clariss or Zolomon, what does Jay look like under the mask? Is that actor Teddy Sears, or is it someone else? There have been a few Earth-2 flashbacks that showed Teddy Sears as Earth-2's Flash, so maybe this imposter Jay can change his DNA somehow? The scary thing about the idea of a fake Jay Garrick, is that Caitlin was lied to again by a man that she trusted. First Doctor Wells/Eobard Thawne, and now Jay. She even perfected the Velocity serum for him, thus creating a stable Velocity 9. At the end of the episode, Jay was able to stabilize the speed canon, but as he closed it, Zoom pulled him back through to Earth-2. It actually looked like Zoom killed him, because Zoom's hand was through his chest. But was this all part of Zoom's plan? Send in a fake speedster and get Caitlin to create a chemical speed generator? It all seemed a little too convenient that the second Caitlin perfected Velocity 9, Jay was killed or taken away.

A lot of missed opportunities for Jay as the writers didn't know what to do with him. We could have gotten a super-speed tag team action with Barry and Jay. I wanted to see Barry and Jay do a super-speed tackle on Zoom.

Don't write that off sooo soon. It still might happen.

Zoom is not Jay. They ran tests on Jay, he was there some times when Zoom attacked them and not he even took Jay. you could see Zoom's hand. And I don't think he's from the future. Wells created him. I don't now. that guy said Jay, Jay's doppleganger is Hunter Zolomon.

I don't think zoom is a future jay or zolomon, if zoom could travel time (should be easy for him with his kind of speed) then he'd better go back in time and replay the end of last episode and eventually win.
I hope time traveling stays a bit unique for Barry and reverse flash and the future.

And i believe that the real Jay is still alive (the masked man) zoom just killed zolomon that tried to copy real Jay's speed.
But then again 2 Jay's on 1 earth... then we're back in timetraveling :D stupid time travel.. i'm getting a headache -.-
