I definitely agree there. Law and Order is untouchable. Its like a cockroach. It always survives.

:hehe:

My honest guess is because of his reported temper. The man is apparently a notorious prick.

Which means he has a massive fanbase. :o

really? hmmm, maybe he and Bale would have clashed on set then...

I doubt it. Cameron would've put both Bale and the DP in their places. Apparently Cameron's temper makes Bale look like a girl scout.

Which means he has a massive fanbase. :o

Kate Winslet, unfortunately, is not among them. She's said she couldn't handle working with Cameron again. Seriously, how could anyone be mean to Kate Winslet? :csad:

And the fact that NATM 2 had
1) shorter running time ( 105 min as opposed to T4's 130 min )
2) played in more theaters including IMAX

I haven't seen T4 yet so i can't comment on how the movie actually is however these factors do also play a (big) role in the BO performance of a movie.

Also i can't believe that Terminator 4 costs 200 million. Aside from Brian Singer's assraping of Superman Returns , "most" 200 (plus) million dollar movies do actually show that that they cost that much . SPider-man 2 & 3 , POTC 2 & 3 , Narnia 2 , Transformers 2 , King Kong.
From what i've seen in trailers etc , i just can't buy that Terminator 4 costs that much. I'd actully go for a number between 150-180 million

I have a hard time believing the actual shooting budget was 200 million as well? That doesn't seem right.

Also, what are Foreign Box Office #'s for Salvation? I haven't heard too much chatter on those #'s yet.....

I think Cameron is one of those "functioning" alcoholics. Every time I see him he looks like he drinks himself to sleep every night. I think when he's working is the only time he concentrates and can be sober.

Not that I know him but there was a couple years in my life when I was like that and he looks the part

Welcome to the movie business... fights and yelling happens ALL THE TIME on film sets.

I feel like an ass, I thought this poll was for opening weekend. Thus I voted 60 million. I'd like to change my vote to 150-200. :(

You're not the only one.

This movie will have to have to have decent legs to make 150mil. Although I and my mom didn't dislike it seems like alot of people did.

I'm actually a little surprised at the venom after watching the thing.

My vote was 150-200.....and i don't know why some of the people in here expected this film to make 250-300 million domestically?

What were some of those people smoking? LOL

Some people thought TS would be just shy of TDK in terms of quality I guess. I admit I bought into the hype.

Leading into it's opening, I was leaning towards $170-$180 million. At this point, it's looking at around $130-$140 million.

I'd like to watch it though...

...from a safe distance of course. :hehe: :woot:

if someone records it and puts it online then I'll see it. I wouldn't want to be the one yelled at by them though...Imagine if they tag team it and take on some poor SOB? :csad:

For the love of...obviously the people who made the damn film expected it to make more than 200mil in the states because 200mil was spent on the damn thing! Seriously, that "whoever expected it to make such and such were just trippin anyway" arguement mostly only comes from people who are disappointed by what a movie did at the boxoffice. And are trying to pretend that everybody should've expected the movie to fail.

They spent a s**tload on the thing, they even brought in the supposedly huge Christian Bale and they advertized for it out of the freakin wazoo. Plus they released it on Memorial Day weekend.

You better f**king believe they were expecting more than the 125-140mil that this thing will gross.

Were they dumb *******s for expecting it to be some 250-300mil grosser...well yeah but they did.
