Box Office Predictions: Star Trek XI

We'll see. I'm seeing Terminator tonight, but I never had that much faith in Terminator: McG

Of the movies out so far, Star Trek will make more than all of them. With TS being complete crap, it will have a big drop off in week two. Plus NATM2 will provide an outlet for families going to the movies over the weekend and while it's not going to take in huge money, it will make a dent in TS take. I don't think there's anyway TS will make more than Indy4 made last year, at this time.

Yeah! Trek was back on top on Wednesday, knocking A&D out of the top spot.

Glad to get some good news today. My f**king apartment is flooded.

That sucks. I hope you're insured. Anything valuable damaged?

Star Trek back at #1 yesterday with another $3.1 million compared to A&D's $2.9 million.

Its not about story.

Its just as a movie, Star Trek is playing toward audiences and critics in a similar fashion that Iron Man did last year.

No, luckily. I just have to put up with people coming in and out of my place for the next few days tearing out parts of the ceiling and floor tiles. Ugh.

How can you compare this movie to Iron Man , When the story was nothing like Iron Man .
Okay I'm going to be forced to used this thing for once....

:facepalm"

Box Office, dude, box office...and also its a surprise hit of the summer

What, you didn't see the part where Kirk wastes a bunch of terrorists with his robo-suit?

Aren't those others worldwide and the #4 is domestic? So far, it is the highest grossing ST film I believe.

My God, the predictions to this year were wrong I guess.

No.. those are domestic BUT Adjusted for Inflation. Non adjusted, it's beaten all the other ones. Adjusted.. it's on its way to #1.

Man, I hope that even after inflation, Star Trek beats out ST:TMP. God, is that boring-ass movie.

Agreed. ST:TMP is like the bastard child of TOS and 2001: A Space Odyssey.

Its bound to happen. Had a bit of a dropoff this weekend, but its still showing strong legs. I still think $250 million US is a certainty. Already over $75 million worldwide.

I think its a strong possibility to finish with about $400 million worldwide.

So, the movie's foreign BO is $76,841,237 so far. I wonder why it isn't doing better. Yeah, I hear that the franchise is not very popular in those markets, but still it's weird since people are loving it so much here.
