Superman Returns is what you call money well spent.

Fantastic sets, SFX, and the overall film. Agreed.![]()
Hey at this point TS has to get what it can. :\did anyone see the new commercials with a huge number 1 on it... saying its the Number 1 action movie of the weekend. Kinda grasping at straws.
WB and Sony only paid for distribution rights. From what I understand, Halcyon put up most of the production budget. So neither WB nor Sony will lose much over this. WB might have paid for marketing, though.I didn't know Sony financed the rest?
Wow. So it looks like WB's will make some sort of profit if they only put 60 million down?
WB paid 60M for domestic distribution rights. Sony paid 100M for international distribution rights. That IS most of the production budgetWB and Sony only paid for distribution rights. I was being sarcastic.

From Nikki Finke:

If a thread is talking about Superman Returns MP must make an appearance.
I  her so it's all good.
t:And yet we still haven't seen a sequel, quasi-sequel, Routhboot, reboot, whatever you want to call it.So glad SR performed better than other films such as this one and yeah, Watchmen...![]()

lol yep. She is the great Batman protector, you are the great Superman protector and I'll just say I'm the great Spider-Man protector.yeah, I'm like Anita when it comes to Batman/Nolan/Bale.t:
TTSCC wasn't a teen drama series. Nor was it a bad series. Nor did all that many people watch it.what killed this movie's success (at least the early one) was Sarah Connor Chronicles imo. The franchise got overexposed by that, it wasnt a blockbuster, big-names-in-credits-only deal anymore, but a low budget, teen drama series with terminator's name in the title. Not to mention those who were unfamiliar with movies and saw a glimpse of SCC definetely said NO to the franchise
