You think they'd learn and stop even calling the place a "school," because after a while there's no way in hell that anyone would send their kids there... How many times has the place been completely dominated?

And who do we think it is that gets killed by Predator X.... 'cause I mean with those clothes it looks like Cannobal but Carey was talking about how things were gonna change for Cannoball.. I guess I should re-read that interview and see if it hints at a death...

Keep in mind, the remaining students at the school are only there because their families don't want them back. I imagine quite a few joined the student body the same way Surge did-- as vagrants. And when your choices are "homeless and hungry" or "cushy mansion that might blow up and leave you homeless and hungry again," you might take option B.

Well, the mansion wasn't always getting blown up when the original 5 were students.

The Genesis group weren't teenagers, save for maybe Peter, who was still about 19.

The New Mutants were recruited when Charles was under the influence of a Brood egg, so there's a chance the Prof. used some involuntary psychic "pushing" to get the parents to agree.

Kitty's parents were approached by Charles and Emma at the same time. They sent Kitty to the less-evil school.

Jubilee was an orphan.

Gen X's parents were convinced because of the Phalanx Covenant.

Morrison-era, the school had just gone public. Countless human parents saw an opportunity to dump their mutant kids off at a mutant boarding school.

After Decimation, what few kids that didn't immediately go home, died.

His characters aren't blocky, really. Actually, Ramos's lines tend to be quite fluid. Angled, though, yes, one of the reasons I really like the work.

Strung out on heroin? No. That'd be Skottie Young's characters.
