As for Elixer, he was injured earlier in the arc. He's currently in the infirmary recovering and thus not available to heal anyone

The Nazis first forced Jews to wear the Star of David in public, then forcibly tattooed their arms. Come the 1950s, I don't think there were very many Jews proud to have those tattoos.

well teh average person wouldnt know that as that wont be a common thing till teh future. For now, he can just rock it as if he got intetnionally to stand for Madrox or Multiple Man

I think it comes down to what they associate the tattoo with. Johnny Mutantly from down the street probably got a DNA strand tattooed on his chest to symbolize he's a mutant, and that makes him proud. Meanwhile, Rachel Summers, who was given her tattoos as a form of enslavement, was so ashamed that she telepathically stopped everyone from seeing them.

Also.. why do any of them think for a second that he won't be alive again in a few issues time? Death is after all a regular thing for an X-Man.

Thirdly.. in all the fuss, all the chasing of the baby.. why did no one ask who the kids parents were or if they were ok? Did i miss something or did cable just find the baby on the road somewhere?

I think there is the assumption that the baby's parents were killed when the Purifiers attacked the town in Alaska. Many folks died there.

This would be the Equiv of someone Tatting a Big symbol on your face so they can seperate you from the "good" people.

I don't care if I'd picked it out for me BEFORE they forced me to wear it, the bottom line here is the dehumanisizing it does to be labeled like this.

Imagine if women were scanned at birth and :

those w/o any blemishes in their DNA had a big "P" on their face denoting able to procreate w/o penalty,

Those with Blemishes but nothing lifethreatening had a Big "F" on their face denoting that they can be safely sexed,

And those who had something the powers that be didn't want passed on to future generations had a big "D" on their face denoting "Damaged,.. don't do her with your worst enemies willy."

Would ANY of the women want to be easily labeled -
A baby-maker
A Sex Toy
A Pariah?
