Comics The '07 X-Event: Endangered Species, Messiah Complex, & Disassembled

I don't think it's appropriate to label Captain America as either a Democrat or a Republican. He does w/e's right, not what the political situation of the day tells him.

Ok, back on topic!

I cant get behind the SRA bc S.H.I.E.L.D. is teh one enforcing it and they are corrupt. There actions during CW were no better than villians. Sending a missle to kill children in the middle of a busy area with innocent bystanders? Isnt that sort of how this whole thing started? And then they want to turn around and act like they are good and the right way. Um whatever. Im glad that Cap and the other heroes opposed BS like that and good for Cyclops taking a stand

in theory the SHRA is a good idea. but i can't support it for a reasons like...

Clor
42
The Iron Spider costume
The New Thunderbolts
S.P.I.N. Tech
Iron Man thinking he's God

not to mention all the corrupt bigwigs in Washington who like to piggyback on the SHRA.

I kind of liked the Iron Spider costume. I thought it, along with Spidey's enhanced powers, finally put him on par with some of the overpowered heroes that Marvel's been pushing out.

But that's all erased now, of course... :whatever:

Whats the 42?

I also loved teh Iron Spider costumes. I thought WTF when I first saw it but that grew on me and I hated when they got rid of it so quickly. It would rock if it returned in a different color scheme

42 refers to the number of ideas IM and his crew came up with when deciding how to react to the Stamford incident.

How the hell did the idea "let's start making heroes responsible for the horrendous actions of criminals" make it through?

It's called a moral panic. The public freaks out and needs to blame someone, so they blame superheroes.

You mean like how after September 11th, rather than continue to exclusively blame the terrorists who crashed the planes, people started blaming the government for not stopping it?

No, because those people have managed to come up with evidence supporting their view.

my problem with the iron spider costume is that tony put a bunch of techno stuff in the suit that he could shut down at any moment without pete's knowledge. it also fed him information that allowed him to analyze, replicate, and counter pete's spider sense.

NOT COOL

not entirely accurate. 42 is the prison in the negative zone. its called 42 because it was stark, pym, and richards' 42nd idea. i can't remember how many ideas were on the list, something like over a hundred

You've gotta admit, the Negative Zone prison was a good idea.

That was a fantastic idea.

And it's not like Tony was the first to try. Captain America used some anti-Iron Man bug that S.H.I.E.L.D. developed long before Civil War happened.

fantastic for Tony, not so much for Peter. He kind of betrayed his trust there

And that's Spider-man's fault for being a trusting nitwit. Don't blame Tony for having a contingency plan.

It's Spider-Man's fault Tony betrayed his trust  What kind of reasoning is that?

Intelligent, logical, thought-out reasoning. Duh.

Why should I condemn Tony Stark for being an intelligent man with a plan for either scenario? Answer: I should not.

liberal means neither :o ... liberal is going against the current, saw a good bumper sticker once.. and it was spot on. Jesus Christ was a liberal. He would have been considered one at his time for going against the romans
