I've just seen the 12 episode of the second season of 4400, and couldn't stop thinking in X-men while seeing it. There were so many connections, resemblances that have made me wish the x-films will be like this serie in the next sequels.
I haven't seen all the episodes of 4400, but specially this one, was really interesting in my opinion. There was a disease that supress the habilities of some of the 4400 that remember the legacy virus. I don't know well that saga, but anyway, I think the plot in this chapter was great, it showed the sufferinf of some sicks, the worries of the goverment and their reaction to it, a kind of "war", the quarantine, etc, etc.
There was all character development, drama, without unnecessary actinon.
Seeing it, at some point I thought that chapter was the X-men, but without the X-men, really.
I think Fox, the directors, and the writers should learn quite a lot of this series if they want to make a really good x-men film, not one like X3, with so much action but little "drama" moments. They should learn to showing the thoughts, fears, reactions, etc of the characters, both mutants and humans, (citizens, doctors, politicians, etc).
What do you think about all of this? Do you think 4440 is an example to learn, imitate, etc?
