You wanna hear something ironic? I saw the trailer for Conclave in front of Joker 2 and I thought, "Eh, might be too boring for me. Not my cup of tea." Jump cut to Joker 2 being the most boring movie of last year and Conclave being one of the easiest watches with a fun ending to boot.

Well, now that we've gotten through the rest of the awards shows and it's just the Oscars left, here are my predictions for the big awards next Sunday:

BEST PICTURE

Will Win: This is tough. I can't make heads or tails between Anora, Conclave and The Brutalist but I'm gonna go ahead and put my chips on Anora

Should Win: Literally anything but Emilia Perez

BEST DIRECTOR

Will Win: Sean Baker for Anora

Should Win: Baker, but Brady Corbett is deserving as well

BEST ACTOR

Will Win: Again another tough one but I'm going with Adrien Brody for The Brutalist. I think Chalamet winning the SAG might have been an anomaly.

Should Win: Colman Domingo but his day will come

BEST ACTRESS

Will Win: Demi Moore for The Substance

Should Win: Mikey Madison for Anora

BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR

Will Win: Kieran Culkin for A Real Pain

Should Win: Kieran Culkin. Fuller's gonna win that Oscar.

BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS

Will Win: Zoe Saldana for Emilia Perez (sigh)

Should Win: Anyone else just so Emilia Perez gets shut out

It was strange enough that it first reflected the actual Oscar race itself, most apparent when the Gascon controversy blew up, and then it just became downright eerie with what's going on with Pope Francis right now.

Also, I 100% did not recognize that guy without the cardinal outfit and cloud of vape smoke coming out of him.

Oscars 2025: ‘Wicked’ Stars Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo Will Perform on Telecast (Exclusive)

Doja Cat, Lisa of Blackpink, Queen Latifah and Raye also will perform on the telecast.

In addition, Doja Cat, Lisa of Blackpink, Queen Latifah and Raye are also set to take part in “showstopping performances celebrating the filmmaking community and some of its legends” during the Oscar telecast, according to the Academy.

While it’s not yet known which song or songs Grande and Erivo will perform — options include, of course, “Popular,” “Defying Gravity,” “What Is This Feeling?” or some medley thereof — the word is that they will kick off the show.
