Depp's Wonka could never even think to come close to Gene Wilder but overall it was no go-down-in-history-classic but fairly fun.

If you didn't like Chocolate factory I can only imagine what you thought of Alice- now that was a mess. It's Burton's worst reviewed film since Apes.

Alice was very boring and the CGI was bad. There were times where I thought the composites on the greenscreen was terrible.

When he held book signings for his exhibits in New York, Australia, and Canada, hundreds of people lined both the street and the museum waiting hours on end just to get a glimpse of Burton. Many brought sleeping bags and camped overnight to get his autograph. He has the third most viewed art exhibit in the history of the Metropolitan Museum, behind only Picasso and Monet.

I still love Burton. Didn't care for Alice in Wonderland at all, but nobody's perfect.
I'm interested in seeing how Burton will handle the Addams family, and I love that he's doing it in black and white. I wonder, though, if he'll stick to the original style of the cartoons, or mix his own style in with it as well. Knowing Burton, he'll probably use his own style.

everytime i see Burtons art it reminds me how unique he is or was. then i think about hes movies and i almost start to cry.

i understand that you can not realese something unique and good for 20 years .but for the love of god just stop with the remakes and start writting new characters.

I'd like to see another PG-13 take on the Addams Family like the Sonnenfeld films but I'm sure this one will probably skew more towards the family-friendly side like the cartoon from the early 90s...or that episode of Scooby Doo where they were guest stars.

Nah he’s moved on from Depp now to Eva Green so she would’ve been Morticia. Which honestly I wouldn’t be against if it were her and Oscar in a live action version.

The real image^ sorry to burst the fanwank, Ricci as much as I love her, personality/presence is not really like Morticia. She was an absolutely perfect Wednesday though.
I'd love to see Ricci continue to play an older Wednesday, maybe as a sequel with her as matriarch to her own spooky family, with adult David Krumholtz(Joel Glicker). Or better, her as widow, with him the first in a long line.

If this animated version is dead, they should really pass the mantle to Guillermo del Toro, and a full live action cast.

Or Chastain, as Del Toro has worked with her before...

Could be a perfect Gomez and Morticia.

Also add Streep as Grandmama.
