I know it's just a rumour, but I'd love Timothy Dalton to be cast. After all, BTAS and some of the comics have hinted at Alfred having a past as a spy or soldier. Why not a former Bond?

He also looks great with a moustache.

Dalton, or any Bond for that matter, would cause bit of a storm which would be great for WB...even bringing in many curious Bond fans possibly.

Someone did point out that Dalton is more low key, which would cause less distraction than Pierce would...and I pointed out, he's the only actor suggested that you'd buy him saying stuff like "Sir" and "Master Bruce", with affection. ...

Yeah. I want Dalton for the role

Im all for Dalton and Hurt right now. John Hurt if they want to return to the Michael Gough style, but if they want to move forward for live-action I think Dalton would be a fantastic choice.

The only thing is, this CBM site are the ones spreading Cranston as Lex and Dalton as Alfred. So I don't think those two will pan out.

The best would be Cranston as Gordon, and Dalton for Alfred.

I was the one who suggested him and it's nice to see him getting some love.

To me, he's already played Alfred in Buffy

Which is why I really want to see him as actual Alfred. Plus a lot of general audience fans who go to see this movie will not have seen Buffy.
