Pierce Brosnan probably thinks he could play Batman, and would likely find the offer of Alfred an insult. And Malcolm McDowell just turned 70 and is looking pretty fragile these days, IMHO.

also I've been behind casting rickman as Alfred from day one, and Malcolm McDowell is a genius choice as well.

But he looks way older. And that means he can easily pass for ancient for an older Batman. He has less chance of popping his clogs than most other suggestions

He's hilarious! That's another reason why I want him.

I find it funny that I was a big supporter of McDowell in 2011 and 2012 and people didn't like it, now everyone loves the idea!! . Grrrrrrr you guys lol.
