The All Things Flash Thread. - Part 2

Considering the crap most movie goers find great (comic or not comic related) he is probably not in the minority.

I'm sure we will think it is dumb but we are a minority!

Guess who in the news again.

I just don’t see how WBD will be able to release this movie in its current form.

I'm confused...I thought he started a cult in Iceland how was he arrested in Vermont? Maybe he truly is The Flash!

:o

Well it technically happened in May. They’re just finally charging them. So not exactly new, but lawd…

Deadline hints this latest incident may change WBD’s mind in terms of the future of this movie…

I really don't think they have a choice but to release it. They're already in huge debt and can't afford to tack on another quarter billion.

Cut ties with Miller in a press release, ride out the next year as best they can, and hope for the best at the box office.

Unless they can dump it as a tax right off.

At this point cut your losses and cancel this film. The longer Warner Brothers doesn't say something against Ezra's behavior.

What if this movie is released and bombs big time? Then what will WB Disco have to say about that?

I mean, it's all alleged but Flash is a huge release that has received stellar feedback during test screenings, something Batgirl didn't have. That's the difference.

If the film was testing poorly, I imagine the decision to scrap it would be easier, but WB has something that could at the very least make bank overseas.

On an executive level the best move is to continue distancing away from Ezra. I have to imagine there's a fear that they could do something even more rash. They already have been caught and served with a summon to appear in court. Sadly they've been charged with little so far.

Unless, God forbid, Ezra's path of debauchery ends in death, the film will release as planned.

The tax writeoff won't come close to making up for the loss. The reason that worked for Batgirl was the low budget and it was never going to actually make any money since it was stupidly made for HBO Max. The math made sense. In this case they have thrown hundreds of millions behind the film that was set for a theatrical release to write it off would be a massive amount of red ink and the shareholders would be ticked off.

Nothing because it won't matter. Even if it bombs it will make more money than it would if they wrote it off.

Note: I am only speaking fiscally which right now is all Zazlov is worried about. He has to find a way to fix the problems that came before him.

I'm not even sure, if I want to see this movie. Even if there are great supporting actors/actress and people behind this. I just wouldn't want to support any of the high level people with my money.

Regardless of the cost of the film , it's gonna be hard to justify releasing a film with an alleged groomer of children, while shelving Batgirl.

But at this point, the pronouncements about releasing it is all still talk ,as far as I'm concerned .
The release, as it stands now, is a full year away.
Alot can happen between now and then.

I'll take WB at their word they'll release it as the actual release date gets closer.
Until then, they can basically say anything since the release isn't around the corner.

As far as actually seeing the film, I'm gonna take a hard pass.
It's no question for me.
The they're repellant, and I'm certainly not gonna pay money to see two versions of them.

Batman V Superman also had very positive test screening feedback, from what I remember.

There’s a very real possibility The Flash could bomb, given both all this stuff around Miller, WB’s past track record, and the actual plot of the movie (if the leaks are true).

WB could easily end up with (even more) egg on its face, and an ocean of told you so’s. They should cancel this film.

Ask yourselves this: will you actually pay money you earned to sit down and watch this in a theater?

All the denials to the contrary from the producers are proof positive this movie is mortally wounded.

How the F is anyone in the cast and crew gonna be able to do ANY press whatsoever for this movie?

Is Ezra’s situation going to get better or worse?
