The All Things Flash Thread. - Part 2

Absolutely no chance. Theyre just gonna crap this onto blu ray with barely any fanfare im sure.

They might slap on some EPK featurettes and a handful of deleted scenes at the most. I don't see them putting the two alternate endings on it -- although I would love it if they did.

It seems the UK Blu-Ray has been announced? I see studios are now pushing everyone over to 4K when it comes to special features:

4K Special Features

  • Making the Flash: Worlds Collide – featurette
  • Flashpoint: Introducing the Multiverse – featurette
  • Let’s Get Nuts: Batman Returns, Again – featurette
  • The Bat Chase – featurette
  • Saving Supergirl – featurette
  • Battling Zod – featurette
  • Fighting Dark Flash – featurette
  • The Flash: The Saga of the Scarlett Speedster – featurette
  • Supergirl: Last Daughter of Krypton – featurette

I don't think we should get too excited about the deleted scenes.

If they aint showing the alternate ending idc what they have to show lol

The Batman '89 comic was a real mixed bag. Clearly giving Sam Hamm creative control did it no favors. His ''voice'' was minor in the original film with his work being majorly rewritten by Warren Skaaren, Jonathan Gems and Charles McKeown. He was also, frankly, mishandling a creation that wasn't his in Pfeiffer's Selina Kyle.

I guess it just shows how vital Burton was in the creation of both movies. Revisiting this version of Batman should probably be avoided without his guiding hand.

Also, I believe Keaton and Burton just took a pen and crossed out most of Batman's lines so they could just handle it visually. And I think Jack Nicholson improvised some great stuff while on set as they were rewriting.

Really just want to see some footage of Nicolas Cage on set tbh.

What sucks more than anything is that it will probably be a long time before we see another Flash
Yep, here we are 12 years later and we've only just had a new live-action big screen Green Lantern announced. And they've gone with Guy this time. Whenever the next Flash is I can see it being Wally.

Yeah this is pretty much it for live action Flash for a good long while friends.

Unless next week Gunn announces Bart Allen ‘s in Superman Legacy. :o

The Green Lantern show will have both Hal Jordan and John Stewart though. But your point still stands, it's already been 12 years since the 2011 movie came out.

I'm wondering if the decision to use Guy for the big screen was taken first, and that using Hal and John for the show was a result of that.

I believe Hal and John will have bigger roles in the DCU than Guy. Fillion’s not a movie star and Gunn only ever uses him for tertiary roles in his blockbusters. I think Guy is designed to be a “fun comic-relief” character who pops in and out of this universe to liven things up in various films, but he won’t be a lead, and the lead GL’s will be Hal & John (until Kyle and Jessica are eventually brought in hopefully).

I doubt it. The character has been VERY lucky in live action. 1990s show, in Smallville, 9 seasons of The Flash cw show, Justice League, solo film.

Well live action tv show won’t be happening any time soon and they aren’t going to announce a movie for at least another 5 years assuming Gunn lasts that long.

Could be GL/Hal Jordan or WW.

I doubt we'll see any solo Flash project anytime soon.

Even though much of the cost of this film was under the previous regime, it's still on the studios tab, regardless of whose running it when the film is released.

A studio doesn't take the type of financial hit it took, and then, decide to jump back into that property ASAP.

It's not gonna happen.

And given this was the first Flash film ever, as opposed to another Batman films( which they've had a long history with BO wise ) it's gonna take alot , to convince them of the viability of the character in terms of headlining it's own film.

Fans may be willing to get on that horse again, but the studio, and it's investors who have to shell out the money again, aren't gonna be willing to entertain any idea of another Flash solo film, in this decade, I would predict.

I think we'll see the character in supporting roles again , but I think fans should be prepared for a long stretch before there's another Flash solo film.

Ive been saying this for a long time, give Clooney another chance at the character.
He can pull it off.
A older Batman story with him could work, im 100% sure of it.

The funny thing about that George Clooney gif is that I can remember seeing the set pictures when they originally filmed that scene with Michael Keaton. Same suit, same car, everything.

I'm guessing they re-shot it after Batgirl was scrapped.

I loathed Clooney's portrayal as Batman and I still do, but I've always thought he was a good Bruce Wayne. If a Batman Beyond with Keaton is off the table I'd happily take one with Clooney.

That is what happened.
