so should we expect to see spidey during the remaining rochester shoots?

It's because the majority of the CBM community is a bunch of ignorant *****ebags bordering on homophobic and racist. Seriously, when Jamie Foxx was announced as Electro you have no idea how many "I'm not racist, but..." comments were posted. The simple fact that you have to say something like that typically means you are going to say something racist lol

I'm confused...What does that have to do with what he posted? Though I only needed to go on CBM a few times before getting run out of that board, not all of them are completely '*****bags' as you put it.

Also tbf its the same with the recent casting rumour of Human Torch, if they want that character to be white, and don't believe they should be black as it somehow effects the character, then they have a right to voice that opinion. Heck I know I was one of them when Electro was announced, more because I had never imagined a back incarnation of Electro, and he is one of my favourite villains so it was a bit like a 'um...what?' moment for me lol. Doesnt mean I'm racist though.

Just like the Dark Knight Trilogy is in the shadow of the Burton Trilogy? If you're good, people will forget about the past. Look at Captain America or Hulk.

The Burton movies were nowhere near as influencial or acclaimed as Reeve's Superman. And Captain America/Hulk is a very good
comparison. Both of their previous movies weren't very finacially successful, and were generally trashed by audiences and critics.

If Human Torch is black, then doesn't Invisible Woman have to be black since they are siblings.

I'm pretty sure people freaked out when Batman came out in 1989.

Because that's what CBM's community is infamous for. Most of them are ignorant and post very ignorant, sometimes racist, sexist, and homophobic statements and just get away with it because there's barely any form of moderation. A lot of them are hypocrites as well. And yes, to compare a character like the Black Panther, whose race is VERY important to the character considering where he comes from, and what he stood for when he was originally created, to say Johnny Storm/Electro, whose race has no affect on them whatsoever considering they're American, then yeah, making comparisons like that is ignorant.

He can be half black, and Sue could still be white if they play it off as them being half brother/half sister. Or they could have been adopted.

Did you guys seriously start bringing the MBJ Human Torch discussion in a Spider-Man thread?

*facepalm*

Sorry, but please discuss this in the correct thread.

yeah but what does CBM's community have to do with believing Latino Review posts?

I kind of do agree with you and disagree with you on that last point. Like I said, at first I wasnt sure what to think of Jamie Foxx playing a character like Electro, that has always been white in the comics, and one I always thought would be played by a white person(not because I'm racist, just because hes alays been white and I havent seen him any other way) I've come round to the idea though as like you said, his skin colour has no effect on his character or what he stands for or personality etc. However, I suppose Peter Parker's skin colour doesn't matter either, but if they cast someone black for that role....then yeah the boards would probably explode with rage. (and please don't bring Miles into this as he is not THE Peter Parker lol)

I hope Rhino is in an exoskeleton that doesn't quite look like a rhino, but has the same basic shape as a rhino. Like the suits used in the Matrix, or like the lifters from Alien, but with like a horn, or cone near his head. Like he is a human forklift for Oscorp that goes ape **** crazy and starts a rampage.

Like Man of Steel, no matter how acclaimed and successful it'll be, Reeve's Superman (1&2) will always be ranked higher
There is enough distance between it and MOS for the latter to have a chance of standing on its own two feet. Especially if it has sequels that are similarly well received. Unlike ASM which was a retelling of a tale of the same character from merely a decade ago.

No as much as Superman considering the groundbreaking special effects that it had.
B89 had groundbreaking art direction; and Elfman's theme as up there with Williams' theme as two of the greatest Superhero themes of all time. Jack Nicholson's performance is also fondly remembered.

Well we haven't seen much except for the Spider-Fan video huh?
Yesterday's video was a shoot out w/o spidey. But I would assume we'd see more of him.

Oh God, we know how much you guys hate cranes.

lol, but really i don´t think is for the movie itself but for the stuntman to "Swing"

MOS is undeniably going to be compared a lot to Superman The Movie, and it's very unlikely that MOS is going to have the impact of Superman, Superman The Movie IS without a doubt the most important CBM thus far, it's what made CBM taken seriously as a movie genre in itself. '89 Batman and Batman Returns were both nowhere near as acclaimed as Superman I and Superman II. Nolan's Batman is often ranked higher than the other Batman movies because they felt like good movies in general, while the older Batmans felt more like blockbusters at the time. Superman and Superman II are on tons of "Greatest movies of all time" lists, but how many times have you seen '89 Batman and Batman Returns in those? If there is any hope that TASM franchise will be ranked at Raimi's level, it rests on this movie. This movie has A LOT of things to live up to, I have a feeling that TASM2 will either be recieved at the
same level as the first, far above it. There's no room for only being "slightly" better. Webb needs to do some things with this movie that we haven't seen CBMs attempt thus far.

I am having trouble envisioning the Rhino on screen, but this is something like what I think we will see. Something like these, but with a more enclosed torso, and maybe a cone or horn by the head.

He will use this suit to punch and lift cars in a fit of rage, he will probably be a comedic character Spidey takes down int eh first 15 minutes of the movie to establish that he is a super hero in effect now.

That would be so insanely boring and make me extremely disappointed!

It would? I thought it was a fun idea, a way to bring a ridiculous looking character into the universe, and making him fun and believable. He is a short, funny looking guy, Giamatti, in a giant armored exo skeleton, having a breakdown and foaming at the mouth about his employer or something. Spidey swoops in, and dodges a couple swings, wise cracking the whole way though, out smarts Rhino, and saves the day.

lol, what is the guy in the middle wearing?
