@spiderdevil - reminds me of this lol

[YT]HIPljGWGNt4[/YT] (specifically the end bit)

You?

But go ahead and believe what you want to believe. It seems to make the reboot better for some of you somehow.

Again... Show me a quote of Raimi specifically saying black cat rather than the news writer and then we will talk

don't bother. He will quote a made up conclusion from the article editor rather than an actual quote from Raimi or any other real proof

Can we please stop talking about Raimi and his dreadful ideas? I'm gonna break out in a rash.

Yeah, we should do that. It's so easy to get caught up in a massive argument with some of these users that we forget what we are actually talking about here. We shouldn't care who came up with Vulturess and it doesn't matter. If the producers made a mistake in the past doesn't necessarily mean they'll do it again. And with all the bashing Avi Arad gets, he was one of the producers of the first Iron Man which of course everyone knows to be a pretty damn good movie

I like Foxx's enthusiasm for the role. I'd be ok with that sort of voice. Having electricity running through your body is going to change a lot of things. It's no secret they were going to add CG to the design. Should look good. I wouldn't be surprised if Foxx was roughly quoting real dialogue either.

So Jamie says

'A world without mercy,a world without power' in his Electro voice

I wonder if those are actual dialogues

i think it is, lets be honest foxx hasnt been great at not spilling plot details :cwink:

i like his electro voice

I love how impressed he is with Dane Dehann really gives me hope that he'll deliver a great performance.

in the video when Foxx said electro for the first time i think he was expecting a cheer from the audience but got nothing

but then he said andrew garfield and WOOOOOO! YEEAH! *CLAPS*

Yeah, it seems the GA does not know who that is apparently
@Goran I was thinking the same thing, who do you think will be in this scene they're shooting?

Same thing happened when Ryan Reynolds mentioned Green Lantern in his SNL monologue to crickets

i hope "a world without power" doesn't indicate a megalomaniacal electro; specifically, a plan to blackout new york / the world.

i'd prefer it if they avoided parallels to the "turn people into lizards" plan from tasm1 and go in a different direction.

before people jump down my throat, yes i am aware the line from the leno vid may a) not be in the movie, b) be meant in a completely different context.
It actually makes a lot of sense. And it's very Electro you know? What if you're right? Haha. I think a plan to blackout something is underway.

Yay! Filming news.

That's what I'm saying. He could be, could not. It's similar to a "world withou weakness" isn't it? Like Connors in TASM. But whatever I'm excited and if it IS rough dialogue, it's Electro spot on from the books I've read so

'A world without mercy, a world without power, a world without weakness'

Nope it doesnt suit TASM because the Lizard didnt have a personal vendetta against him.He wanted to create a city full of Lizards and Spidey actually prevented that from happening. There werent many casualties either

The way it looks like in MOS,Zod comes to earth to get superman and the two fight numerous times and cause ****load of destruction. To me it looks like it was a fight between Supes and Zod and Earth got the collateral damage
Like earth got needlessly dragged into something which was completely kryptonite's feuds

Ultimately, the motive of the villain is irrelevant. Peter and Clark both witlessly unleash something beyond their control (the Lizard/Zod) and New York/the rest of earth (respectively) pay the price- particularly Captain Stacy. "There weren't that many casualties either"? lol. Oh, well, if there were only a few, I guess that's okay...

electro is the big bad of the film, this is his plan that spidey has to stop

I get what your trying to say Vid, but that sort of sentiment and question about the very heroes existence, is evident in all the comic books. Especially Spider-Man, it's a thing he deals with daily. Especially with the ends of the earth, when he had to come to terms with the fact that [blackout] his very inventories were to blame for what Ock was doing. [/blackout] They dealt with that very question in TDK.

Any im kind of babbling on now, but the obvious answer to it is that if they weren't around the world would be much worse. So what if he was the first to have powers, or someone came to earth searching for them. If it wasn't them, it would be someone else. Conners would have solved the equation eventually, Zod would have come to earth for another reason, and if it wasnt him then it would be Lex. Joker would still come to cause chaos because that is what he does. etc etc

and its also like real life, things don't just happen, its usually a chain event that leads to it.

the links you posted yourself I read all of the text in the links and there is absolutely no proof over the fact that which side came up with the character Vulturess. This is a quote from one of your links:
That suggests that Sony was against of the Vulturess

and the screen rant article suggests that there never was any Vulturess concept and the character was always gonna be Black Cat. Here's the quote:
"Now that three years have passed, Raimi is also a lot more forthcoming about certain aspects of the film – specifically a mysterious role for Anne Hathaway, long believed to be the Vulturess (alongside John Malkovich as the Vulture) until it was later revealed she would have played renowned cat burglar, Black Cat.
And Raimi doesn't even once mention Black Cat. Really, copy paste the part where he mentions Black Cat. No I don't really believe that Raimi created the Vulturess, but still there is no proof to which side created the character
I'm just playing devils advocate but the quote you're citing could just mean that they (meaning Sony) were just against the casting of Anne Hathaway as vulturess, to my memory wasn't Rachel mcaddams approached for the role at some point? She could have been the studio choice. Just saying, the quote isn't exactly indicative of the origin of the vulturess character, but just the conraversy from casting the character. Though to my memory I believe Sony wanted black cat, but raimi wanted vulture, so he made Felicia hardy vulturess.

truth be told, all we can do is "assume". Sam certainly wrote the treatment for Sp4 right after 3.... and we know before pre-production it all fell apart, and that Vulturess was certainly part of an early script (we can assume sam wrote that since again.. this is all early) now... whether we know or not sony set guidelines for him to include vulturess in that early script or if sam came up with the idea himself... well that's something we will never truly know.

those who are die-hard raimi fans who think he can do no wrong.. (while much fewer) are pretty much like the nolanites, they will never be convinced otherwise because they simply don't want to be.

Hey, how many days were they planning on shooting this movie? It's like 120-150 or something right? Isn't that abnormally high, even for a blockbuster?

They are shooting about 150 days.

And yes, that is abnormally long. At least, for the length of Principal Photography, which is still going on.

I wonder if we're gonna get any pics soon. It's been pretty long since the last one

I know it's far fetched, but is it at all possible that they are filming scenes for the third installment? The Hobbit style? (The Hobbit was originally intended to be 2 films and not 3)
