I don't like every villain being connected to Oscorp. It will get old and boring. It's like if Riddler, Strange, Death, Man-Bat, Scarecrow, Ivy, and Freeze worked for Wayne.
We've had this discussion already. Having most of the villains connected to Oscorp gives the franchise focus and makes it feel less random. And we still get some villains who aren't directly connected starting with Rhino.

It would appear he's to make his debut as GG in later films... but I still wonder whether they're actually planning to have 63-year-old Chris Cooper as a glider-riding supervillain. He's no Dafoe, who still had plenty of physicality. That makes me fear they're planning to do Hulk Goblin. Yuch. But let's see where they take it.

You have CGI, motion capture, stunt-doubles, and so on. Even if Goblin isn't Hulk sized, he'll probably transform or wear something over his face. I see no reason why Cooper's age should be a problem.

It also gets old. 2 films in, 3 creations from Oscorp. How are you going to keep this fresh and new?

Norman's head cryogenically frozen. I don't know, guys. The pic is making me go:

And....

I think that's going too far. I mean really does he regain a body if he uses the Goblin serum? I've bee fine with a lot of the changes but this I was hoping to be untrue.

Stunt doubles and CGI are there for a reason. I imagine Chris will do some stuff, but seriously intense sequences will be left to stuntmen.

As long as they don't continue this past movie 3. And each villain is different or unique, so I don't see what the issue is. I think Rhino might drag in some other Russian villains when he joins the Sinister Six (e.g. Kraven, Chameleon, Silver Sable, etc.)

Otherwise we're going to have a bunch of random villains popping up in Manhattan conveniently where Spider-Man is located.

After everything we've seen, how is this too far? Its definitely "bizarre," but I think it can be pretty cool and eerie if they play their cards right. I don't think Norman will "grow" a new body, but perhaps Smythe will build him one? I see a lot of potential here.

There is also said to be the spider serum in one chamber and the goblin suit in another chamber. As per ror machine of that site we shall not name. He wrote this back in June of last year.

Alright well this discussion is giving me a headache. I have a big exam to study for, so good talking with you guys. :)

I think he'll grow a new body OR one will be cloned for him. I don't think it'll be robotic. But we'll see.

If this is all true

Everything they have done with Harry and Norman

They are officially on their way to just ruining my favorite villain. This is painful. :down

What's next, is Norman Goblin going to be the head of the Sinister Six? I hope he marries Aunt May too because **** it why not.

There's the issue of actor/character believabilty. I mean, there's a reason pics like this are humorous, and I'd imagine the filmmakers would realize that too. They could have gone for someone younger than Cooper, and they didn't. My current theory is that they want to have both Goblins, mecha and mutant. All things considered, it's not that unlikely. They probably don't want to have two villains with the same look in 2 separate movies.

Lol this is why I sorta hoped it wasn't true because people complain about anything big that differs from the source

Its nothing to be, [BLACKOUT]cooper is likely back for TASM3 full bodied [/BLACKOUT]

actually, this whole thing fits right into spidey's world. Silvermane anyone?

Pretty dark and unexpected too. I like it.

But why? Sure, the imagery of his frozen head is freaky to look at, but I don't want Smythe to give him a robotic body or a clone body. I just want Norman either donning a Goblin costume or becoming Goblin-like ala a serum. While yes, Norman sending his son to die for him is wickedly evil let alone having Peter's parents killed, Webb and company couldn't have just had the after-the-credits scene be revealed that Norman was actually alive, locked away inside a chamber, and about to go do some "tests." Or simply having the Man in the Shadows come to him and say, "Your son failed." Norman could turn his head to the camera, look at us, and with a sneer say, "Then we try again" or something like that. Cut to black.

Argh!

Well if you read the spoiler I posted earlier, it appears
the Green Goblin will indeed have a suit, so...

Just found out I may be seeing this a few days before May 2nd

I think he's going to be regular sized like Harry but he MIGHT wear a mask to hide his identity since he's supposed to be dead. And I think they might do the Goblin thing in reverse this time. Pete will think it's Harry but it's really his dad.

Unless they have Chris with white hair and a killer stache, I wouldn't worry about it looking like that. It'll look fine. Sevenwebheads posted a photoshopped image of the first official look at Goblin but with Cooper's face instead of Dehaan. And it looked damn good.

That's fine if he gets a suit but crap... they could've kept his head on. Osborn isn't Silvermane.

So what's with this new image? Is it purposely released or leaked?
