Hey I saw a post a few days ago where someone collected all the webswinging gifs together, anyone remember where that was? I thought it was the main gif thread but alas

Off topic but, I am so happy Peter has his mechanical web-shooters this time around. I never really liked the organic webbing that much. Too me it takes away from Peter Parker as a scientist.

I didn't really mind it, but I prefer the mechanical over organic any day.

The organic web reminds me too much of these awful Peter Jenkins stories....

l think for the purposes of the film, the organic shooters were done pretty well. They wanted to get through the origin as quick as possible. He gets bit, finds he is in better shape, has spider sense, can climb on walls, jump from building to building, and then shoots webs. So now he can go right to the wrestling match... and so on.

The way ASM is being made, the mechanical web shooters are definitely the way to go. And it makes it more believable that a kid could make such a complex device because apparently

he gets the formula from Oscorp

You're probably right. Also I meant Paul Jenkins.

"I hope not. I think that's a hugely important part of her story and of this incarnation of Spider-Man. I think that was very important to everybody. I think there's a certain expectation and then there's a certain awareness of mortality that Gwen has already, so I think that it was important to...just because her father was in the face of death everyday and so is Peter, so I think death always surrounds her. I think it's a really important element to her character. I mean, she, as fans know, is kind of most famous for how she departs. So that's a weird thing to play, knowing about such an iconic part of her existence."

Nice little snippet of Emma Stone saying she doesn't want Gwen to survive the trilogy :)

I love that Emma is such a big advocator of her death. :woot:

She isn't doing a Kristen Kreuk and making out that Clark should have ended up with Lana, that is cool.

On a Smallville note though, I would like to see them do a Clark and Lois Smallville spin where Peter is at odds with Mary Jane.

I like the quote about 'Gwen falls in love with Peter, Mary Jane falls in love with Spider-Man.' This is true. We should see MJ pass Peter off as a geek but be in complete awe of Spider-Man. I would still like them to have tension though, kind of like if this girl could stop laughing at Peter all the time she might actually be a decent girlfriend or something....

Has anyone seen the premiere special? It has some new/extended scenes. For example in part 2 at 03:08 and 04:58.

EDIT: Seems like bluedragon77 beat me to it :cmad: :p

Possibly...:oldrazz:

Anyway...I love how they showed Spidey
creating the web in the sewers.
Great scene.

yeah i was really hoping to se him play with the cell phone like i heard but that was pretty awesome..

It's better that they didn't show it. I can't resist watching everything they release (I'm weak :oldrazz:) so, the less they show, the better. At least for me.

Guys! Dont watch the premiere special! DONT , it spoils great scenes from the movie, especially the sewer one, believe me, you don't want to see it here, but on the big screen.

I really don't like the use of CGI in that bridge scene. But the sewer scene was awesome!
