Not wanting to turn this into a Raimi vs Webb discussion but I always thought that with the organics it's not about pressing his palm but about his hands being in the right configuration to let lose a stream of webbing. This way its some sort of genetic failsafe from it going off all the time.

More on-topic: Its kind of a shame that they can't use the Kingpin in some capacity, if only as a sort of background villain. To me, hes number 4 on the Spidey rogues gallery list after Goblin, Doc Ock and the Lizard.

it may even have something to do with the bending of the wrist...long ago when Wolverine had implanted claws...the old Marvel Universe suggested there was a fail safe on them so they would only retract or pop out when his hand and forearm were aligned....i imagined the organics worked in the same way.

I live in a small city in the middle of BC. On July 2 afternoon, I will arrive Vancouver. I am pretty sure that Vancouver should has the midnight screening. I probably will call the theatre that where I am planning to go there.

No never got to see the rough cut.
They did get it rescheduled and I was getting off a 12 hour shift night before and had another that night, on the day they had finally shown the Rough cut to the Walmart people. I'm sure I'll see the preview the week it opens tho lol.
