hopefully they show no more previews or trailers as i think we have seen enough

So apparently there have been rumors of test screenings and many different cuts of the film not being well received. Take this with a grain of salt, but of course remain cautious and don't get overly excited. It may just disappoint you.

This baseless rumor again. :jedi

I just refuse to believe it.

TASM movie looks good, I have faith in Mark Webb. :word:

I along with many people here went to go see MIB III in IMAX 3D essentially just for the six minute preview. It looked awesome and the 3D is some of the best stuff I've ever seen in any kind of these films. I genuinely don't like 3D as I think you forget it's the kind of film by the end of the movie but it looks like (hopefully) this film will acknowledge that and keep you invested in the technology.

Was that the National that was playing during the Gwen/Peter part? I know that band sounds familiar. Obviously like I'm sure some people might have mentioned, that gave the movie a very 500 Days of Summer vibe.

All the action looks great and I can't wait to see this one!

I liked the clip and I am so excited for this movie, about a month a go I had my doubts about the film...

Some guy was saying there is a clip of Peter flinging Gwen out the window before catching her with web in the trailer

There is no such thing, thank god for that

Loks good but having seen these same scenes in 3D, it's almost not doing the flick justice by watching a bootleg copy lol. The 3D is awesome and my fear of being spoiled was Kaye's to rest. They haven't shown anything they haven't been showing since February which is a good idea. They found a sizzle reel that works and just keep fine tuning it. Can't wait for July.

they just need to release the bathroom scene!

Nah lol. Save that. They gotta save some big scenes. The lizard's attack on the school should be seen in theaters. At least I'd want it to be.

It's "Til Kingdom Come" by Coldplay.

I refuse to watch the bootleg version no matter how good it is. I can wait, I think

So Goran is seeing a special screening with the cast, and probably other journalists on June 20th. Since they are doing that, and I think there is a premier in London on June 16th or 18th, means that those rumors of the Execs hating it, or people seeing a test screening hating it are most likely false. If Sony hated it, there wouldn't be any special previews or screenings for journalists and fans two weeks before the release of the movie. They knew Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance would probably suck, and there wasn't many screenings before hand, and all the reviews came out on the day of the release of the film. I doubt if Sony really hated it, they would do these previews and screenings, like the one Goran is going to see.

Saw the preview...it was pretty good. Wasn't a huge fan of the dialogue between Peter and Gwen at the high school, but enjoyed everything else. The speech Gwen gave to Peter when he was going back after Lizard screams foreshadow with what's to come, and it's sad to think that.

Still think the mask is my favorite part of the costume. It looks SO creepy, but freaking awesome. I think it's mostly because of the lenses/frames.

Whats wrong with it, arent you a reboot lover?

Are people here against premature celebration?

Lol...."reboot lover", "Raimi lover", "Nolan lover"....I hate those labels my friend.

I am excited for this reboot, but you can't say this will own Raimi's Spider-Man since S-M 2 is still one of the best CBMs ever. Of all time. That will be a huge accomplishment and one that can't be predicted without seeing the movie first. There's a cause to be excited for it definitely, but to say things that I read on here is just "meh".

Yeah, I don't know. There's only really been one rumour that the execs don't like it. The guy who said that didn't even have a source... he just said it.

That same guy says stuff about TDKR too, so it's something to just brush off really. The only CBM he really praised from the get-go was Avengers.

Good stuff. But most of that was footage we have more or less already seen.

One more month to go....ugh.

I've decided I'm not gonna watch that new trailer. I'm sure it's got some really cool stuff in there based on what you guys are saying but I'd rather not spoil myself any more. I'm good to go and it's only another 38 days or so before the movie releases.

ANDREW, Y U SO ADORABLE?!?!??!

:hrt: :hrt: :hrt:

Though I'm still befuddled as to why they chose THAT clip, of all things. ASM is not (500) Days of Summer, it's supposed to be mostly an action movie. I'm not sure if that really endeared the mainstream public to the premise of rebooting Spider-Man.

That 6 minute thing had plenty of action. It makes sense to have a least one scene showing off Andrew and Emma's acting skills and chemistry.

But we didn't see any action in a continuous non-trailer-edited mode. It's hard to say what the action beats are going to be really like without seeing it in context.

99% of action movie trailers are more exciting than the real thing. :oldrazz:

It's Marc Webb. We already know he can do cute relationship-type stuff, and the GA wouldn't care anyway. They wouldn't see ASM to see another (500) Days of Summer. They want to see Spider-Man do awesome physical things.

From what we've seen so far, I'd say they got Spidey's movements down, but what remains to be seen are the beats of the action scenes. The fact that Marc Webb has never directed an action movie (or any other movie besides the cutesy relationship one) doesn't exactly say Sony marketing knows how to allay the concerns of signing up Marc Webb. The stuff we've seen, we already know he can do, and do really well.

I feel the same way. I was already satisfied with the first two trailers we got. Didn't need anymore. Rather wait and see the movie, than see anymore more trailers/previews.

That dude that spread that rumor was just hating bro, it was that badass digest guy

I actually agree with this. I went back over his other posts about The Amazing Spider-Man and they all had the tone of "why are they making this, they should be making Spider-Man 4." The dude LITERALLY hates the movie without seeing it. Here's some quotes from him:

I hate not liking this footage.

Honestly, I'm so worn down by the entire reboot that I can't muster a lot of energy to care either way.

Please Sony, please create some marketing that convinces me I'll like this movie.

The dude won't like it no matter what and I'm almost 100% certain that he made up the entire story about the Sony executives not liking it. He is so negative about the entire movie.

As well, someone else pointed out there would be no advanced screening if the movie was bad. They know that the majority of the money would be made in the first weekend before reviews if they didn't let critics see it in advance. However, there is advanced screenings and everything I've seen says this movie is going to be good.

Also, I didn't think my comment was going to start a war about The Avengers! I only mentioned it because a few people in the thread were saying TASM & TDKR were going to have a tough time to match the quality of TA. I thought that was silly because TA isn't some amazing movie with a great plot, just a fun one with lots of action.
