Finally got my hands on the new Empire magazine. But geez, 9 euro's? :wow:
But whatever, the article made me even more excited! Great read!

Play some high praised garbage like Shattered Dimensions, that should ease up the wait :oldrazz:

SD isn't that bad, tbh. One of the better non-movie Spidey games from this gen.

Actually, I think it's the only good non-movie Spidey game from this gen.

You are a strange case, one moment feels like you like WoS, another feels you think WoS is bleh

I like some stuff in SD, but it ticks me to see how stupid Amazing Spider-Man is here, he could have ended the story in the first cinematic, but he didn't spare us that. Then it's a repetitive do the same thing 12 levels in a row, same pattern, no other modes, no tricks, if you are noticed in Noir one thug has the ability to take you out....

If you want to go about how WoS did wrong, Spider-Man can kick a juiced up Juggernaut and he normally CANNOT take Juggernaut at all, or damage him a bit

I enjoy some stuff in it, but eh, it's extremely overrated, I don't like how it overshadows even Web of Shadows, they both are bad, but WoS has some better stuff like climbing on a lightpole and sticking thugs to walls by web (sprint + web special). I find a lot more cons in SD than pros, can't see why it's loved the way it is

I never said WoS is "bleh". Hell, I think it gets a little too much crap on here.

The story is somewhat good and I like the good/bad decisions thing, but it was poorly implemented. And the ability to "climb on a lightpole" doesn't make a game miles better, as you're making out. Not to mention how buggy WoS was.

WoS was good... urm, fun, but SD was miles better.

Crap storytelling, and no jumps higher than two stories upwards :argh:

I said some better stuff, though I'm enjoying it, I don't find it miles better, just has some better stuff, like no moments when you can walk forward slowly but not run, web zip, or do anything else, why would anyone want to walk? Are we playing trapeze artist or something?

WoS was good... urm, fun, but SD was miles better.
They're both very bad, SD is more annoying

If I did listen to critics, I would be watching Glee and listening to Lady Gaga and Lil' Wayne.
Only critics I like are the ones who work to make us laugh

Hated Web of Shadows, was even a little upset I wasted money renting it...plus when the head of the company comes out and says its an awful game, I mean what can I say that tops that? Shattered Dimensions is cool, not great but cool. I still haven't finished it but I think that's because it just became repetitive. I haven't even thought about playing edge of time because it just looked like a rehash of shattered dimensions and came out too quickly. Seriously, just give me something in the vein of the spider-man game for psx and n64 with some free roaming mixed in, and I'd be content. I feel like they over think the spidey games when in true, playing the games like maximum carnage, spider-man, spider-man/x-men provided pure entertainment

Web of Shadows was a terrible game. Inconsistencies throughout the game made my head hurt.
Hey, remember this one? You defeat Black Cat and hear her offer of fun
Black suit, take commands from her
Red suit, leave her to head to Moon Knight for absolutely no good reason and take the exact same commands from him

How :awesome: is that? :oldrazz:

Mechanics are nice, out of the charged jump, mechanics in WoS are fun, and the color palette is great, but yeah, that's really about it :O

It's been so long, I can't remember that, haha. But I am referring to the whole story with us having no reason why Venom decided to infest the planet, or why Black Widow was leading SHIELD and not Nick Fury or the coincidence that both Mister Fantastic and Tony Stark were away during that time, lol.

I LOVED the gameplay, don't get me wrong, and I really want to see that kind in a Beenox game, and the cinematics were actually legit, but for someone who wants a great story...it failed to amuse me.

Disagreed completely. WoS pales in comparison to SD.
Pales in how bad SD is in comparison

That guy shouldn't criticize, he said SM2 is bad, then we got

This garbage, only good thing about it is how stages look different
I haven't even thought about playing edge of time because it just looked like a rehash of shattered dimensions and came out too quickly.
That one is cool, it's really better than SD

True :awesome: thought there bub
That one has other modes, and more things to do, plus stealth was natural and not forcibly needed like NOIR in SD, it is fun fun FUN

No. Pales in comparison to how bad *WoS* is.

I thought I made that clear, evidently not.
What bothers me in beat 'Em ups is how very repetitive games are, but this is how I view both games:-

WoS:
Better combat
No slow moments with just walk
There is a pattern in some repetition, but it's a bit more varied in level spreading
Specials
Some trick
Uniformity in color palette (don't jump from a view too dark to one too bright, and no tron desing)
Though Spidey is a puppet here, and that's how dumb they made him, it's not a thing like SD

SD:
Exact same pain 12 times in a row
He could have ended the WHOLE GAME in the first cinematic cause he had a snap TOYING WITH MYSTERIO, instead the moronic zero causes the main villain to smash some artifacts, then he breaks the most crucial artifact on his own
If story was dumb and it contained some variety, I would excuse it a bit, but no, exact same thing 12 times a row, no extra modes, no tricks, NOT A DARN BLASTED SPECIAL THING
At least he could have spared us fighting Kraven and Juggernaut, but noooooo, we had to fight them
Forced boring slow walks
Thugs defend way too much against NOIR
And this one has bugs too, but none of them is a bit entertaining

You see why I hate SD so much? It's terrible terrible garbage, it's extravagantly overrated

Thing is, minor things don't make one game better as a whole to another.

WoS was buggy as hell and had a storyline that was over the place. Good concept, bad implementation.

And WoS was far too more repetitive... I'm not going to swing around the city looking for 20 ****ing symbiote-vulture things to destory. At least in SD, they were right there in front of you.
