At least his art isn't completely horrid like the stuff we got around the Shed and Grim Hunt storylines.

Gah, this wait is killing me. I want to read more! MORE!

Have you guys read about the end of 616 Spider-man by the hand of the sinister six? It looks like Ultimate Peter isn't the only Parker being killed off.

Wrong and wrong. I know Bachalo isn't everyone's cup of tea (mine included most times) but his art on the Lizard story was perfect given the tone of the story. The same goes for former DD artist, Michael Lark, who is awesome all the time.

Got a link so we know what your talking about...?

Personally, I feel that Ramos' art brings more consistency to the book. During the time I referenced, the art was all over the place, didn't make much sense, and you couldn't tell the characters apart.

Still can't buy that. Shed was split between Bachalo and Emma Rios, both of whom have different styles. Grim Hunt was mostly Lark with a small assist from Marco Checchetto, both with similar styles and both from DD (both on that book the same time).

What you're describing above is the most common complaint with Ramos and Bachalo, not so much Rios, Lark or Marco.

Yeah man, give me a second to find it again, it was on A CERTAIN WEBSITE but now I can't see it. It was posted about a week or two ago.

Here, see if this works.

Well I can't seem to post it because it's from a rival website. But I assure you it's there. Go to google and type in amazing spider-man #676, it should be the second link.

For some reason the Hype is automatically blocking it. I'll take it that means the site it's coming from isn't legit and that makes it most likely bulls**t.

It's just gearing up for the big Spider-Man/Doctor Octopus: End of The Earth storyline next year. Hence "the END of Spider-Man" in the solicitation.

I've never heard of it, I'll read up on it, thanks for clearing that up though.

there's plenty of sites reporting it.. just go to google.

the only sites i know that the hype blocks are the ones where those specific sites don't want there info shared through the hype, like CBR

edit: oops already see someone beat me to it

Yeah but he said Spider-Man was getting killed. I've seen the ASM cover where he's walking away from the garbage can after dumping his costume (yet again). There's a big difference.

are you talking about the new cover of that? where there's several people in an ally dumping the suits? because he's not even on that cover.

that's the last issue of spider-island. the next arc after that starts has the vulture for 2 issues, than the sinister six and ock's "end of the world" sinister six arc. People are just speculating as to what "the end" actually means, or if it's just a play on words to ock and his master plan.

it's quite expected whenever people here the word "end" with comics, they think there's a chance the hero might be killed off. It happens EVERY time, this is nothing new.

No, I remember seeing a specific cover of him in an alleyway post Spider-Island.

Hi. I don't think there's been one official word from anyone at Marvel that's said "killed" and/or "die" when it comes to the 616 Spidey. :yay:

Dan Slott is gonna be so mad at you for spreading false rumors about his stories.

Haha, he already beat me to it. Awesome.

At the time I couldn't find the article other than on CMB and I had no knowledge of the End of The World arc with Doc Ock, that's the only reason I posted that, is because I was really confused and only heard of it as "The End of Spider-man."

Hmmmm, is my mind playing tricks on me....?

I saw that cover and I thought the same thing you did for a few seconds before I saw the other suits and people.

Ah well, nevertheless it doesn't change the fact that Spider-Man isn't getting killed. I just hope they aren't going the "Identity Crisis" route once more. :(

While I enjoyed a bit of that (particularly Dusk) I don't want to see a re-tread. I'm excited to see Doc n' the boys again. Who knows what the "End of Spider-Man" will materialize into... I swear, if this story is about Pete using Doc Ock's shape ups... :argh:

...*banned for terrible joke*

Hey, maybe they should just bring back the old Doctor Octopus and not use the guy who looks like a bad version of Gaunt from the end of the clone saga.

Come to think of it... bring back the old Spider-man. You couldn't convince me that's supposed to be Peter Parker from Amazing Spider-man #200 or 300 or even 400.

And don't forget Venom. He could torment Peter without having to look like a gay elf while doing so.

Is Ben Reilly going to come out in the Spider Island run? 'Cause if he does, I would find that awesome. :D
