New 49ers uniforms. Looks like they just borrowed Arizona's old set & removed the state flag from the sleeves. Speaking of sleeves, I don't know what they were trying to accomplish with those stripes, but they failed.

Fix the stripes & substitute the gray facemask for a red one & I'm fine with the change, though I don't see these as much of an upgrade.

That's the thing - they're exactly the same. They're not unique, they're just recycling something they wore a decade & a half ago. The fact that they resemble the Giants' uniforms doesn't help either, whether they were first to sport the look or not. I'm all for tradition, but let's go. Be a little more original, San Francisco. Why bother changing anything (in the 90's) if you're just going to use the same exact look a few years later.

QFT, although I agree with GWG and others that they could have done more with the uni's. Oh well, they're not as fugly as the Jag's new threads, so it's all good.

I hate to say it but out of the 3 new releases, the Lions did the best job. Overall they are all disappointing.

I thought they were sharp, but the black did seem forced. The only thing I didn't like about these is the logo on the sleeve. Regular stripes would've been just fine. I did like the darker shades of red & gold and the fact that the numbers were outlined instead of plain white (or red)

Red Sox seem to have given way to the Nation. Red shirts under the away uni's. Haven't seen Red Socks yet, but I have a feeling that's the case.

i dont see why teams need a new logo every couple of seasons. some of em are actually decent, but others are usually more miss than hit

There are only a handful of teams that are immune from any major changes:

Yankees, Steelers, Cowboys, Lakers, Celtics, and Maple Leafs to name a few.

Yeah, and some of those teams have some nice alternates which respect the classic looks. Like the Celtics alternate road uni.

The half a**ed sleeve stripes would suggest that it is a whole new design based on an old uniform design. But I don't want to split stripes, I mean hairs.
