I saw it at the Arclight in Sherman Oaks (part of Los Angeles). It's a pretty nice theater, with seats assigned to you and everything. It was pretty much adults only at that theater. The audience was pretty ready for the film though. Lots of cheers for the Star Trek and Terminator previews. I was curious to their reactions during the movie, as it was pretty quiet at parts that I was expecting laughs from, but they cheered for Rorshach's prison line, and there was a fair amount of applause at the end, although it was brief. I was expecting a lot of my friends to hate it, but it turned out they all really liked it (more of them had read it than I realized), even my girl liked it, and she gets confused by complex films a lot. So we got one positive audience : )
