The Internet should take a day off on April 1st every year. Just shut down, stop all traffic, black out every site. That's the only way to put a stop to the rampant stupidity that breaks out one day a year.

crap i felt for that...havent seen it on the first of april so i didnt thought bout that and im not checking on such news every minute, i just came across and man they totally got me...around you guys i guess i m always late to ''the party''

Curious, would everyone prefer that Whedon sticks with the aspect ratio, or screen size, that he chose when filming the Avengers or go with the widescreen look that all of the other MCU films have used?

I just find it interesting that all of the MCU films leading up to the Avengers are wide screen and the Avengers one isn't, especially when you see those promotional vids showing clips from all of the films. It's not a nitpick, just curious to see on what other ppl think since I know that some did have issues with this when it was first announced on how Whedon would shoot the film.

I hope to God this film ends up with a run time somewhere around 2.5-3 hours. With the possibility of what we might be seeing after after all the Phase 2 standalones are done, it's going to need it.

Don't think it will need anymore than the first film.

It'll be interesting to see if these Black Panther rumors are true. I'm not holding my breath. Kind of stinks of an actor trying to get himself the part.

But that only happens when there is a part to get. There's a difference between lobbying for a role and "preparing" for a role.

I've become more familiar with the Black Panther recently. Maybe Marvel will cast me? I may not be an actor, or black, but I am athletic and don't cost much.

So what does everyone want the sequel to be called? Since it isn't Cap 2 or Thor 2, I have hopes it won't just be Avengers 2.

Joss Whedon is a master of dialogue and that is what helped to make Avengers the 1.5 billion dollar box office behemoth ..... but I hope Marvel brings on a higher caliber fight coordinator to help him with Avengers 2. It's not his fault, I mean it's not like Whedon is a fight expert, but there's just so much untapped potential in that regard to help make the sequel every bit as good as the first one.

This movie is going to be effin biblical. I just feel it.

The best thing about Avengers 2 will be no crappy aliens! Whatever they replace them with can only be an improvement.

Great new interview with Whedon..
http://www.superherohype.com/news/articles/176163-joss-whedon-talks-avengers-2

"Joss Whedon is hard at work on the script for The Avengers 2. Back in January, he said the script should be done in a few months and that we should expect "Death, death, and lots of death." The director spoke with Total Film (via CBM) about the pressures of making a sequel to the biggest super hero movie of all time.

“The only pressure is the pressure that is there every time I do a new project. Is it going to be good? It is going to be different? Is there even a reason to make another one? Is there a reason for this to be my next thing? Can I pull it off? I am not going to try and match the box office of the first one because that would be bonkers..."

When the audience for the film was brought up, that prompted this response from Whedon.

"Yes, there is a certain level of safety - because now people know about The Avengers and they like the characters so it probably won't completely crash and burn. But you don't want to just get by and do something that is merely OK. If I am going to dedicate three years of my short life to this then I want to do something that I have never done before. So I think of The Avengers 2 as a glorious challenge - it is a sequel, yes, but how can it be different? Of course, the pressure that I don't feel, my body internalises. It happens all the time. I was comfortable making the first Avengers, but I didn't sleep during it.”

You do realize there's an alien in the Avengers roster?:ninja:

I agree entirely with this statement. Examples of that come to my mind is how I personally felt that the whole gunfight within the hellcarrier was like one of the most plain/tamed gunfights that I've ever seen within a film.

I hope that having made the first avengers film, that Whedon feels more familiar with such a large scale production, which will further make the sequel that much more better.

its not only bout avengers but marvel universe and phase 3

Moving on to the rumor of the day, my trusted industry source tells me that Marvel is eyeballing someone that they already have a relationship with for the lead in a confirmed Phase Three projects: Dr. Strange. The name? Actor/screenwriter Justin Theroux. There’s no word on whether or not he is the only name being looked at for the part of Stephen Strange, but I am told that there is a strong interest over at the House of Lee in seeing Seamus O’Grady become the Sorcerer Supreme.
