Thanos probably wont appear, if anything just hints and forshadowing.


Thanos will be in Guardians, and he probably wont show up in avengers until 3.

Can't look at these films as individual franchise story arcs but part of a greater whole

Guess it makes sense to save the big lug for the finale (part 3).

Honestly, the title seems like a counter strike to Fox using Quicksilver. Now when they inevitable to AoA, it'll look like they're copying the title.

or.. they i dunno. used the same title that's been referenced for years about the eventual coming of ultron. Age of Ultron and Age of Apocalypse are all actual comic titles (ultrons was referenced quite a while before this years big book event) from the same company... so yeah.. thinking to hard

Maybe Whedon's introducing Pym in Avengers and Wright is still using Lang. I wouldn't fret too much at this point.

That, I could get behind.
Pym's creation goes rogue in TA2, and his (and Ultron's) story carries over in more detail in Ant-Man, with Lang as "THE" Ant-Man. Freeing up Hank Pym to be Giant-Man in The Avengers 2 and/or 3 (please god; please Stan Lee).

Okay. Superman/Batman and Avengers: Age of Ultron in the same summer. Oh and Pym kind of has to appear at some capacity. It just wouldn't feel right, IMO.

I'd rather have Thanos following Ultron as the final villain of the trilogy than the other way around. But with JL coming in 2017, we might get the see Darkseid before Thanos.

I wouldn't be surprised if they handed over Pym's story to Stark. I don't see how they could fit in Pym in Phase 2.

It's such a huuuuuuge part of his character that it would be like erasing illuminating one of the Avengers founding fathers all together. I mean they're adding friggin Falcon to the MCU but not Pym? That would be messed up.

I'm definitely happy that he isn't the villain. With a villain as big and powerful as Thanos having him being the second villain just wouldn't fit, IMO. I do think he will appear at some capacity carefully planning his arrival.

If the Pyms do appear, the roster for this movie would be HUGE. I can't imagine all the characters getting equal spotlight. The movie would include

If it's friggin Stark...

After the Mandarin, I wouldn't rule it out. I can see the World Security Council wanting Stark to create a version of JARVIS for SHIELD to keep Fury in line, and something goes awry (sabotage, or maybe simply that Stark designs the AI so well that it evolves beyond its own programming).

We're getting Thanos next year in GotG and I'm guessing he'll at least have a mention in A2.

to be fair.... there's been no confirmation about vision, and I imagine SHIELD wont have much of a part if at all in this sequel.

But not everybody's going to necessarily be on "the roster" yet. SW & QS still are being sold more or less as antagonists to the Avengers by Joss; and Vision will likely work for Ultron initially, as he did in the comics.
