Oh, and my husband is big on Five Guys. i'm In-N-Out. Ours is a bicostal love. :woot:

Thanks for the review from Detroit News, Sockin.

You're welcome.

I'm in agreement with your husband. Their fries are delicious, it's dat peanut oil.

But In-N-Out has fantastic burgers.

Agreed (and best use of a gif ever!)

You can diss Avengers, TDKR, but I will not - WILL NOT!! - stand for dissing In - N - Out.

:highfive:

I just had In-N-Out Double-Double burger with fries for lunch today. Sssooooo good! :awesome: I can't believe someone actually compared it with MacDonald's processed crap. :cmad:

Nolan is one of my favorite directors. To me, Memento is a masterpiece, (I tend to like the early works of artists -Jaws, Terminator, the Duelists -best) but i like all his stuff.

 Memento is my favorite too. Then I think Insomnia tho I know a lot rank it as one of his lesser films.

All this talk about "In-N-Out" I'm about to cook me some home cooked burgers, who wants some?

Why do I always see El Payaso being negative? lol

True, that girl is very talented. She and Fillion would be my top two picks of Whedonverse actors to join the MCU.

Also, unlike SMG both of them seem to still have a working relationship with Joss.

I must investigate this Elevation Burger you speak of. Thanks.
No problem! The one I go to is at National Harbor in Maryland just outside of DC, but I know they have 30-ish locations around the country, mostly along the east coast. They do the organic ingredients thing that In-N-Out does, and their burgers with the "Elevation sauce" are sloppy-delicious the way proper In-N-Out burgers are (even if they don't have nearly the amount of "style" options). Like I said, In-N-Out is still tops for me, but Elevation burger sufficiently gets the job done whenever I have an In-N-Out craving.

And this place doesn't have cultist tendencies in the least bit. Pot, kettle, black.

Many here can't praise The Avengers without talking not so kindly about you know who and his films.

And thats totally not cool. Foolish actually. But it can be tolerated in an Avengers thread i think.

The people I'm talking about are off the chart. None of the regulars here are Nolan haters in the least. But again, this is an Avengers forum so you cant call it trolling. Frankly the Nolanites are so touchy I just try and be polite and accepting in the hopes theyll just chill the **** out.

Fillion would fit in this world PERFECTLY.

Being passive aggressive is not a good thing. In some cases, far more irritating.

And you seem like a fine fellow yourself DarthSkywalker, and nothing like the (possibly) disturbed people i was referring to. Also, I would like to again make it clear that I am a true admirer of Chris... I mean MR Christopher Nolan, and would never dream of mentioning his films in any context where they might possibly be compared less favorably to another obviously inferior film. This, of course, goes double for any superhero movie. Anyone who suggests otherwise is a filthy liar.

Yeah, I felt like they were straight-up teasing us with that RDJ/Fillion Avengers promo. It conjured such wonderful thoughts of what could be.

Its like a cult, and they dont want to become outcasts by overpraising another superhero movie, especially one thats not interested in "transcending the genre". Oh and the worst part of all is it wasnt directed by Christopher Nolan. No getting around that.

Yeah, I love Memento. I'm more impressed with his independent films than the big budget Hollywood stuff he's done.

I would love Fillion as Pym. He needs to hit the gym though. Actually, so do I. Never mind.

And dont confuse being passive agressive (an attack) with being patronizing (a desperate attempt to end a pointless argument after logic and reason fails). Big difference.

Okay back on topic. Heh.

love chris nolan's batman movies but thank goodness for the spider-mans and avengers. the superhero genre should light and uplifting not dark and brooding. and when they reboot batman (and they will) I want to see a batman that is closer to the comics than nolan managed or burton managed.

Five Guys is pretty good though :D .

I agree, but it's much more expensive than your average burger joint, and that includes In-N-Out.

I think it's beginning to look like The Avengers may keep its freshness rating above 90% after the US critics have their round with the movie.

I think a more comic-like Batman (Killing Joke and later) would work in a not-too-distant future scenario. I understand if this is blasphemy, but it worked in TDK Returns (Frank Miller). Wayne wouldnt need to be that old though. Just spitballing. Way off topic though. Again.

It should not be one or the other, imo. Either approach can be great.

Hell, Whedon himself took both approaches to Buffy.

Batman is dark, brooding, slick and witty. That is why Nolan fits it perfectly imo. Not all Superheroes are painted with the same brush.

Just look at the Avengers. Iron man, Thor and Cap had completely different styles of films that fit them all very well.
