Since this has been labeled as a "heist" movie. What if the heroes beat Thanos to the punch and obtain another stone other than then Mind Stone with Vision? We do see Strange activate the time stone in a trailer.
Thanos knows where each stone is because they have all been activated, so he must be able to track them some how.
Order wise, its obvious when he drops the Space stone in, the Power stone is clearly already in the gauntlet. There must be an order to installing the stones or the Mind stone would have been in the Gauntlet from the get go as it was the only stone Thanos actually possessed.
In the leaks we know [BLACKOUT]the Collector tells Thanos he does not have the Reality stone and lies about not knowing it was an Infinity Stone. The Aether location is unknown[/BLACKOUT]
Unless Ebony Maw gets the Time stone next, it could be the majority of the movie that Thanos only has 2 stones in the Gauntlet.
We know that Wakanda serves as the big final battle, yet the battle on Titan(if it is Titan) is possibly happening at the exact same time with Thanos using the Space stone to go back and forth between worlds.
I think the final order will be:
Xander attack for Power stone
Space stone from Loki to spare Thor
Time Stone from Strange
Mindstone from vision
Reality stone from unknown location
Soul stone on [BLACKOUT]Titan after sacrificing Gamora[/BLACKOUT]
I still believe that even though he may obtain certain stones during different points in the film, they have to be placed in a specific order.
