IMO, the focus on RDJ's history with the franchise in that piece, adds fuel to the idea that Iron Man is going to die in this movie.
I think this is a perfect movie to wrap his character arc and allow one of the others to step in (i.e. Black Panther) and move to marvel Universe forward.

Eh, I don't think so. They focus on RDJ because he is Iron Man and Iron Man kicked everything off - and now here we are, celebrating a decade of MCU

I suspect there will be a few replacements going forward following Avengers 4 (where Ironman will likely die - I doubt it'll be in Infinity War).

Black Panther will obviously replace Stark as the guy in the tech-enhanced suit, Carol (Captain Marvel) and will replace Steve (Captain America), likely in the leadership role. We'll probably be looking for replacements for Hulk & Thor too, possibly in the form of Spider-Man & Doctor Strange? I'm assuming the likes of Falcon and/or Bucky will fill in for Tasha & Hawkeye, as it's a fair shout (I think) one, or both of them will be out when this one wraps up.

Not with the competition it'll have.

Bingo.

Folks should temper expectations. I’d be happy with breaking The Avengers Box Office record. Realistically, I’d put this at around 1.4 Billion WW gross.

This was great and very touching but I'm a bit amused that in every television spot and in every featurette we're getting a recap of the same few scenes, over and over, never more (which are also the same scenes shown at all these preview parties). Thor being found by the Guardians, Strange working with Stark/ship appearing over New York, some extremely cherry picked version of the Battle of Wakanda, same with Titan (in being cherry picked and very brief glimpses). They never show any of the other character interactions like [BLACKOUT]EW hinted that Thor and Steve have a moment, for example, and that Rocket and Bucky have an exchange, etc.[/BLACKOUT] Don't get me wrong, this is not a bad thing, at all. In fact I think it reaffirms that we're in for a ton of surprises and that's cool.

If each trailer, tv spot and special all showed different scenes, we'd have less to be excited for. :p It's further possible that some of these scenes wont even make it to the cinematic release.

Per those scenes you've mentioned, some characters probably only have a few scenes of interaction ?(with each other), so it makes sense to keep them for the film. I can't imagine every character gets to interact with everyone - there's just not enough time for that!

I think the unusually low level of competition that Black Panther had is skewing people's views of what constitutes a lot of competition. Infinity War basically has three full weeks unimpeded. In it's third weekend Black Panther had already made $500m domestically, more than Age of Ultron made in it's entire domestic run. If Infinity War can't beat The Avengers I doubt it'll be because of competition. There's plenty of time between this movie and Deadpool 2 for everyone who wants to see it to see it, multiple times.

True, and I'm actually applauding the Russos for that. I feel, a lot of times, that studios give away a little too much in the trailers, so it's nice to see some restraint being shown. As others have stated it's actually exciting to have such small pieces of what is a two and a half hour film. Meaning it'll be nice to have surprises.

As for character interactions [BLACKOUT]the length of time Rocket, Groot and Thor spend with Cap wasn't the point, the point was that they are there for the Battle of Wakanda and that fact hasn't been hinted at in any of the trailers and tv spots, we only know about it because of EW[/BLACKOUT], which leads me to believe there might be even more interactions we haven't seen hinted at yet that we might have in store. To use an example, Pratt and Evans, who are friends in real life, have long said they'd like their characters to work together, that kind of thing.

how'd they decide who will be at this premiere and that?

was it simply if the actors were free in their schedule? Cause I imagine Singapore probably won't give too much of a care if Cheadle shows up, but say the premiere in LA, they def would.

We are finally seeing the real Scarlet Witch!

Love the look of that 3rd shot with Star-Lord, Drax and Nebula going flying.

Distinct lack of Cap in these :csad:

Same could be said for Falcon, T'Challa, Scarjo, Okoye, Cheadle, Bucky. Avoiding footage but when I skimmed down I didn't see any of those. Probably because they were shot at different locations.

As the date approaches I'm starting to feel the same excitement I had for the first Avengers. What a wonderful time to be alive!

Brolin really hasn't been part of marketing either has he? Maybe difficult with being Thanos and 2-3 weeks later having DP2 coming out. Rare to promote 2 blockbuster movies at once.

I am pretty anxious about it, usually get this feeling for the movies but it is upped for this.
