Anyone see Ms Marvels new costume? I don't like it as much as her old one but it'll translate better to the big screen if that's the route they're going. I'd post a pic of it but I'm on my phone.

Yeah she's getting a new ongoing starting at issue 1 with her as Captain Marvel sometime this summer

The costume is ugly but the codename change is awesome

I don't want her being Captain Marvel in a film before the original Captain Marvel is introduced. IMO he's not only a much more interesting character but the tie-in needed for Ms. Marvel to even exist. If they cut Mar-Vell out completely and just make her an alien it might work, but that's an unnecessary big change for two characters.

although drama does get better when characters die, which is wat happened in TDKR, i want the avengers to steer clear of this plot line cuz overall i want an awesome comic book movie, and not much a drama/melodramatic plot...

I really don't like the short hair look, and the costume isn't great. But I appreciate that's she's as covered as her male counterpart would be/was.

I like it better without the mask. That double yellow line across her chest needs to go away too. otherwise I think it's pretty keen.

That is great news. And sure, that costume is pretty ugly, but I like it better than that poor excuse for an "outfit" I've always seen her in before.

I'm really starting to get into all these Mar-Vell rumors, just so it can lead to a proper female powerhouse superhero on the big screen. I think I'm gonna be disappointed if that DOESN'T happen in the Avengers sequel, tbh.

Can't believe this. Just over ten years ago everyone was ecstatic because we were getting movies about big name characters like Spider-Man and Wolverine. Now we're discussing potential appearances by lesser known types like Ms. Marvel, Vision and Scarlet Witch.

The idea we've tossed around here is a combo movie wherein he accidentally powers her up, like in the comics, and then goes on to die saving the planet from a Kree invasion. And she takes up his code name/costume to honor his memory.

If executed well and CM isn't just a 10 minute throwaway character I'd be ok with this. But, what I'm afraid of is them omitting CM entirely due to time constraints.

Ahh, I didn't know you meant a solo movie. That would definitely make sense and, like I said, give the character his due time for a proper story.

But if that was just a subplot to another film I doubt they'd have enough time to cover it properly. And I don't think a CM movie is even being discusses, unfortunately.

I love the idea of Whedon contemplating a fatality in the film. Hopefully its not just wishful thinking & someone is actually KIA.

Drama doesn't get any better than when integral characters in your story start dying.

I've said it before, I would have killed Loki in this one & given the job to Thor.

Thankyou for simply stating an opinion without trying being incredibly negative. lol. Thats the way to do it.
And actually, I agree, somewhat. If I didnt want to see loki in other movies, I think itd be great for thor to realize that loki has completely gone off the edge. It make for some great emotional drama for thor to kill his brother, to stop him from taking more innocent lives. Hemsworth could totally pull off the emotion of it. I could see him holding loki's dead body in his arms, and just being incredibly distraught.
