Love it.

EDIT: The one on the left, I mean. Right one is still fugly.

Like the costume better like that, now if the one on the right had that costume and a mask over those overly done cat eyes, i'd be cool with it. :yay:

Edit; Oops, meant to quote lixdexia as well...sorry.

i felt exactly the same way so i made a quick alteration to the look

Already miles better than the real thing. Though I'm still not a fan of the bells (or oversized buttons) on her gloves. Also I'm still not a fan of the top part of her top (above the star. The costume still looks kinda off, but still better than the real thing.

although drama does get better when characters die, which is wat happened in TDKR, i want the avengers to steer clear of this plot line cuz overall i want an awesome comic book movie, and not much a drama/melodramatic plot...

'Death' is a melodramatic plot point? And, in turn, TDK failed and TDKR will fail to be an awesome CBM as a result? That's extremely supercilious to say.

------------

As for Ms Marvel's new look... it's odd, not bad. I kinda like it but I'd make a few alterations. I'm not a huge fan of the mask though. I wish Marvel just get rid of it or replace it with another concept.

Not sure if this was brought up, but a shot of the Leviathan exploding is in the trailer:

yeah its been brought up, but good eye nonetheless!

Ah, right. Thanks!

And I guess that's what I get for not spending more time on this side of the board. :funny:

Okay so someone has actually edited the Iron Man, IM2, TIH, Thor and Cap into one film in chronological order.

It will be streaming next Saturday (the 24th) and I imagine someone will put it up for download sometime afterwards.

Well, by observing these posters and trailers as a non-fan, ask yourself -- what role does Captain America play here?

As my brother and sister stated: "Wait, that guy dressed as an American flag is the leader? He sort of looks like a side-kick."

do you judge a book by it's cover? no. and you're equally moronic if you judge a movie by it's movie poster.... :o

Except I'm not judging the film by a poster, Einstein. The general audience will though. Hence, my sister's and brother's comments.

Sweet! I'll definitely download this.

All the altered costumes look better than the real one lol.

Okay so the guy who made this hopes it will be online to download on Tuesday!

Wow, very impressive.

I don't want her being Captain Marvel in a film before the original Captain Marvel is introduced. IMO he's not only a much more interesting character but the tie-in needed for Ms. Marvel to even exist. If they cut Mar-Vell out completely and just make her an alien it might work, but that's an unnecessary big change for two characters.

I completely agree. The original Captain Marvel is one of the greatest characters Marvel ever had. His best stories are still classics. It would be a travesty for such an interesting and compelling character to get lost in the race to get Ms. Marvel into the film universe.

I really don't like the short hair look, and the costume isn't great. But I appreciate that's she's as covered as her male counterpart would be/was.

I think the costume upgrade was all about giving Danvers a suit that isn't as exposed as her previous one was. They needed to de-emphasize the cheesecake factor and position her as a serious hero. That is essential if they are planning to introduce her in the film universe. Not saying she wasn't a serious character in the past, but the "sexy swinsuit" costume detracted from that.

I like it better without the mask. That double yellow line across her chest needs to go away too. otherwise I think it's pretty keen.

Agreed. The lines on her chest remind me strongly of the top of Wonder Woman's costume. Other than that, it's fine. (Thankfully they lost the '70's prom night-style gloves.)

Hey guys,

Just finished my fan trailer. I posted it in the fan made thread, but that seems to be pretty dead. Anyways I wanted to get some feedback to see how can I improve it.

Warning!!!! I added new bits of footage that you probably haven't seen before. (Probably) Its from when they were filming in Cleveland. So if you don't want to spoil some fight scenes look away. (Thor and cap's fight/ cap's alone fight.)

Ah actually, yeah, they will.

A few people I know (who are not comic book fans) already assume Iron Man is squad leader/the main protagonist.

That actually works out, in my estimation.
I figure most people are MOST familiar with Ironman.
They go in expecting him to lead, and Whedon uses the movie to educate. They come to realize/find out by the middle to end of the film(along with Tony and the others) that Cap is the guy who should lead.

Yeah, everybody I'm associated with has seen Iron Man and Iron Man 2. Captain America and Thor, not so much. So, unless they were comic fans, they wouldn't know Captain is the heart and core of the group.

I just realized:

The popularity of CBM's and superheroes in general seem to be related to the economy. I mean, wasn't Superman created right around the time of the Depression? And didn't the first Superman movie pop up right around the time the economy was starting to go down?

And haven't we gotten a ton more superhero movies in the past few years?

Just an interesting thought.

Yep. And I personally don't see the problem with this. Cap wasn't the team's first leader anyway so it's not like they're taking away from comic book canon.

Superman was created about when the Great Depression was nearly over. The Great Depression started in 1929 and Superman showed up in 1938. I'd say he's more closely linked to WWII than the Depression.

I like it! Pretty much everything under one roof.

I'm not opposed to the design of the new costume, or toning down the titillation factor. The only thing I can't stand about the new look is the art work itself --- dear god, who's the artist? Looks like crappy fashion illustration from a 1969 JC Penney catalog. I'd prefer to see a decent artist show off the new look in a more traditional comic book style.
