No he didn't. Not that I recall unless he's killed her in the comic run...I havn't been keeping up...

Any guesses why Thor wears different armor in the film? He shows up on Earth without the metallic sleeves but he has them in the final confrontation.

I too am wondering how they'll explain the different suits Thor wears....if they will be....In Thor he only had his metalic sleeves with a cape costume other than the actual...ya know civillian clothes. Maybe that's the same case here? like Shield give him this to wear under his actual Asgardian armor outfit....

I think what Thor's wearin that sleeveless I imagine is what he wears when he's just hangin out in Asgard

I think he just powers up... like in the comics he'll double tap Mjolnir's handle on the ground or something and the sleeves and rest of his chest armor will appear in a flash of lightning.

Re: thors different outfits: we've seen his armor stripped from him and we've seen him get it back..but it will be pretty cool if we get to see his armor "go away" in a non " getting banished" way. Hope that makes sense. i wonder how or if they'll do that.

Im probably just wrong. If anything, it was probably fan speculation and nothing more. Or i could just be making it up. I was talking with some friends about how bada$$ hawkeye could turn out to be in this and my friend was saying " he needs to be at least as impressive as legolas was with a bow." I dont think there will be an issue there. I would like to see 3 arrows being shot at once tho.

He had the metal sleeves sans cape in the scene where he throws the banquet table over. I loved that look; he looked absolutely huge and the sleevels looked their best in that scene imo.

It gave me the opinion the cape (and helmet) were ceremonial. I mean, their trip to Jotunheim wasn't supposed to end in battle (sure sure, of course not )

But honestly, I wouldn't be surprised or upset if the sleeveless look is just 'another outfit', or something that doesn't even need to be explained. I far prefer the metal sleeves though; sleeveless looks 'unfinished' to me. But I do like them throwing in a hint of the earlier comic look.

EDIT:
My Wife and I have long thought around with 'what we would do' ideas, one of them being the fact that Thor might lose a bit of his power (not permanently, just like, exhausted for a while) in getting back to Earth. Would help him 'fit in' with mortals a bit better (not that I WANT that, was just throwing ideas around).

This might have been symbolised by losing the sleeves...

Cant wait to see the "improper form" guy comment on hawkeye taking out 3-5 guys with as many arrows in one shot!

So long as it works, there really should be no improper form unless shooting in a competition.
