Wasn't Mickey Rourke supposed to play The Iceman at one time?

Those 220 "1" scores is an outlier. Look at the numbers above, next closes is 263 "9" then a huge drop off for the other numbers then a huge 220 for "1", so it looks like those would be considered not relevant in any statistical evaluation cause it screws up any chart/graph you make. With a more reasonable number there; I would say between 10-30 it would make the score much higher. That 5% of 1's is pulling the score from like a 94 to a 90. Sounds like people voting "1" just to pull the score down.

They used the bottom part of the mark 3, and the upper of the mark 6?
I'm pretty sure that's all supposed to be the Mark 6 but the battle scars are just way too photoshopped on there. And Banner not being Hulked out doesn't help much either.

basically remove the outlier to gain statistical significance. Add back 4-5% to the overall score and it's more inline with the truth.

Why the hell are there so many Nolan films in the top 250? TDK #8, Inception #14 (seriously?), Momento #33, Prestige #70, Batman Begins #115. I'm sorry, he's a good director... one of the best of recent times, but only about 3 of those deserve to be in the spots they are.

Quite frankly, NONE deserve to be top 250 in the history of the cinema. TDK and Momento are close. It does show that Nolan Fans know how to vote and vote multiple times using different names around the net. They also attack anything they feel is competition or could rival appeal. It's a flat out fact.

Never seen Momento, but as much as I like them, Batman Begins, Inception and The Prestige don't deserve their spots at all.

Oh you guys should have been on RT's forums for when the backlash that TDK received started coming in. In it wars were waged. People were banned. And that movie is still a touchy subject where anything could spark an all out war of words.

The ridiculously high number of 1s is obvious poll sabotage. Like when Godfather suddenly started getting a load of 1s when TDK came out. The poll's meaningless even though it's very positive.

Because enough people think they're that good. Pretty much the reason every movie is on every list.

Maybe, but there are thousands of movies that people think are good, great and even brilliant that didn't make it on the list, but somehow every relevant Nolan film isn't any lower than #115? I find that suspicious. And I'm not even anti-Nolan or anything.

Prestige does. That movie was the best of '06 IMHO. Memento is amazing too. Inception, BB, and TDK are definitely too high on the list though. But such is life. I can think of other filmmakers with numerous overrated movies on there as well.

Eh, guy's got a lot of fans.

He's popular and all 5 of those movies are generally regarded as really, really good.

I love The Prestige, but #70 of all-time?

I'd put it up there for sure. The supposed #1 movie on there wouldn't even be in my top 100. There are a ton, I mean a TON, of overrated flicks on there. I still can't believe how low the Wizard of Oz is.

You got people calling him this generation's Hitchcock, so take that as you will.

I'm sure there are, the only reason Nolan's movies jumped out at me was because I saw TDK at #8 than 6 spots later I saw Inception and I thought "Wow, two Nolan movies in the top 20? I wonder how many more there are on this list." And lo and behold all of them are pretty much on there.

Shawshank wouldn't be in your top 100?

Which is a pathetic comparison considering Hitchcock's impact on filmmaking, not to mention how prolific he was. Hitch made movies more often than Nolan, but the cool thing about it was he managed to make GOOD movies despite the very large number of movies that he was making. You would expect a quality dropoff from the guy when he was pumping out numerous movies every single year, but he just kept delivering the good stuff over and over.

Nolan is averaging one movie every two years. He's making good movies and thus far has avoided making a truly "bad" one. At some point it'll happen to him though. It even happened to Hitchcock and Kubrick in their incredible careers. If it could happen to them, it's bound to happen to Nolan at some point. It might even happen to him this year with TDKR.

Nope. Haven't ever been a big fan of that one. My favorite movie in the top 10 on there is probably 12 Angry Men. That movie is just freaking incredible. The script, direction, and acting are all perfect. I would have a hard time saying that about any other film I've seen.
