Well it officially opened here in Australia today. I actually hope we didnt get snuffed out of a scene if they did indeed film one and it was because of time constraints that all the countries that get it before May 4th dont get the scene. This type of stuff doesnt happen right?

I would think not, but then again, I really have no idea. I hope you enjoy the movie nonetheless, I have to wait until May 4th. It's killing me.

I did, it was amazing. You guys who havent seen it yet are in for a real treat.

I CAVED AND WATCHED THE END CREDITS SCENE.

I HATE MYSELF :(

I am resisting with every fiber of my body, not to click on the bootleg thing

What happened to the Secret War of Doctor Doom on bootlegs?:P

"Doom is weak and that's why he fails and turns into a frog".

I hope when I see The Avengers that I don't get screwed over out of seeing the new trailers for Batman and Spider-Man. I didn't see the recent TDKR trailer when I went to see Sherlock Homes 2, and I didn't see any of the Avengers trailers played beyond the first one. So I hope my theater is on the ball this time.

If that extra scene involved only Tony and Bruce then there is only one I can think of. It was when
Tony tells Bruce that he heard about what happened to him and that he shouldnt have been alive, and Tony was in the same position with the Arc Reactor.
You guys who saw the advanced screening got that scene too right?
Yeah, we saw that scene. That's definitely not a new one.

Same here. But don't hate myself. That was f'in' epic!!!!!

For those who miss out or want more of a spoiler without seeing the scene we see something along the lines of this:

Also helps establish what is being seen in the dark vid.

I watched it, too. Unlike all the other post credit scenes from MCU films it didn't really do much for me. I have never heard of [BLACKOUT]Thanos[/BLACKOUT], and don't really know what he is all about. It just seems so out of left field for someone who never read the comics.

wiki him. He's kind of a big deal :woot:

The films haven't been perfect, but this is an amazing achievement. Pretty cool when you can speed your weekend watching the Avengers film series.

No idea, probably some random space thug type. He's definitely not of consequence to my knowledge.

When watching the crappy cam version at first I thought that was Dr. Doom talking to him.:hehe: Doubt that, tho.

I wiki'd [BLACKOUT]Thanos[/BLACKOUT], and he seems like a great adversary for everyone, especially Thor.

Yeah Thanos is more of a universal threat than any particular hero's "villain", but he's probably had more run-ins with Thor than any other Avenger.

can you expand on the character of thor and the action sequences without spoiling anything...

I will say this. EVERYONE gets a moment to shine and it never feels like there is just one main character. The perfect ensemble movie, without doubt. And yes, Thor gets so much to do even BigThor would be thrilled (and one cheeky bit that may make him grrrr but was hilarious :P)

Just got back from seeing it, my expectations were blown away!
It was like when you're a kid, you read stuff like Secret Wars and Infinity Gauntlet and wonder "what would that be like for real?" The Avengers felt like it was that same comic universe come to life, no holds barred, the actual Marvel universe on screen.

Also I will say, I think every single hero and character was far greater than they ever were in any of their solo film appearances, both in dialogue, characterisation, action, everything.

Also, my new catchphrase if a friend wants to play some xbox with me is

"I'm not in a gaming mood, Loki!". Who knew Thor played video games? :P

Well, without giving specifics, there is one thing you've mentioned many times hoping you get to see Thor do and I can confirm that he indeed gets a moment very much like that, and more. Staying vague on purpose, but everyone gets a great moment. I was also surprised how much I love Hulk. I think Avengers just may be the film to break the Hulk curse, too. Ruffalo is fantastic, best Banner yet and this Hulk looks and acts perfectly. VERY EMH Hulk :P

Cool, atlhough I have no idea what that could be and I'm very pleased to hear that this Hulk is similar to EMH's Hulk.
