Just realized they took off that awesome shot of Cap frozen in ice.
Pity, I was expecting a full scene for that bit.![]()
It was there, but only for a few seconds while Steve was having his PTSD flashbacks in the gym.
It's there ....it's when Cap is working out on the punching bag and he's having flashbacks.
Huh? How can he have a flashback of him getting thawed out of the ice? Wouldn't it be a third person POV?
To be honest TDK has set a very high bar for quality super hero film that the Avengers may or may not pass....I haven't seen it yet IDK.....It just confuses me how we got to a place where "gritty and adult-oriented" are automatically the better made movies or taken more seriously etc.
I seem to remember a movie called Star Wars that is about as dopey and stupid of a movie imaginable (really take a long hard look at the movie we all love. it's sooooo stupid, bad dialogue, weak characters, ham acting) but that's been a movie that has stood the test of time as one of the most beloved and imitated movies ever. ET another example (even though I don't really like it)
point is: I think what will probably end up happening is that TDK will be the one most people cite as the "better" movie.....but is it a better movie if you flat out just enjoy the Avengers more? If the ultimate goal is to make a movie people want to see again and again and again....maybe there needs to be a way to factor that in while still accounting for this so called "quality film" factor. I don't have the answer, just one guys opinion
This is a dead horse argument. The two franchises couldn't be any more different. One embraces its pop culture, fantastical roots, while the other goes for a more heightened reality. So while Nolan's Batman franchise are entertaining movies, I feel bad for the Batman fans who will never get to see a Mr. Freeze, or Clayface, or Man-Bat, because they don't fit into that grounded realism. I'd rather watch a MCU movie any day of the week, because it makes me feel like a kid again.
Those Batman fans are few, the majority appreciate what Nolan has done for the character.
Any other 'heroes' make an appearance in any form?
Do HAWKEYE AND WIDOW earn their place in the Earth's Mightiest Heroes?
Here, I have an article that describes a possible theory regarding the mid credit scene.

First, I don't see the [BLACKOUT]Annihilus connection[/BLACKOUT]. Sure the servant had some weird [BLACKOUT]tubes/armor thing going on in front of his face but he did not look insectoid and he was most definitely not green[/BLACKOUT].Apparently, the mid-credit scene[BLACKOUT] involved "Annihilus" telling Thanos that Loki had failed in acquiring the Cosmic Cube, but Thanos turned and smiled — as if that was all part of the plan; meaning Thanos' true goal is the Infinity Gems[/BLACKOUT].
Huh. I guess that makes sense.I think what throws people about these movies is that they aren't based in space like Star Trek or Star Wars so when something in space happens they are like what? When a movie starts out in space people are like; "oh this movie takes place in space; expect huge things to happen in space" When a movie starts on the ground people don't expect a space element so when it happens maybe it throws them off and they are like; "what, this has space scenes too?"
