To us here on the forums and to comic fans all over the world it would be great to see Grodd, but to the general audience the show would have jumped the shark
The difference is though Slade is more believable and "realistic" for the universe the producers are setting up. Where Grodd isn't
Also: although I'm fine with Grodd, I'd rather Gorilla City not exist.

Neither is the Flash, really, but here we are.

Yep. I don't want to see a man in a suit or obvious computer effects being used to make a real gorilla's mouth move.

That's the most common suggestion for TV Grodd. To make it even easier to do on a tv budget, make Grodd silent. Focus on his eyes more. Have Grodd speak only in people's minds and through other people.I guess they could do a "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" type thing where he is just a genetically engineered Gorilla who is really intelligent. It would be hard to do on a TV budget though.
Grodd is way more interesting than Trickster. I loved Mark Hamill's Trickster thoughI think this thread has made me not care about Grodd anymore...
I wanna see Trickster!!![]()
I could get behind this and I know this doesn't need to be said but Grodd would have to be a season long villain not a few episodes.I guess they could do a "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" type thing where he is just a genetically engineered Gorilla who is really intelligent. It would be hard to do on a TV budget though.
One of the good things about doing a Flash TV show is that most of his villains fit better on TV than a movie. I couldn't imagine a movie where the main villain was Captain Cold or Mirror Master or Captain Boomerang, but they could all be great recurring villains on a TV show. Really the only person who could be the main villain of a movie is Zoom, unless they did the Rogues as a team as the main villains.
GC doesn't have to exist, and I seriously doubt the show has that kind of budget.
If Marvel can get Rocket Raccoon over with the GA sheeple, there is no excuse for WB to avoid Grodd.
...Gorilla Grodd is pushing it a bit too much.
I understand that. I wouldn't be bothered if we never saw him.Personally, GG is ridiculous so I could do without him, but I see why people want the character.
With the amount to villains Flash has in his Rogues they could save Grodd till the final season.
Like you said Archer the Rogues are perfect for TV.
So seeing how this is his thread what about some casting ideas for the Rogues
Captain Cold
Captain Boomerang
Heat Wave
Trickster
Mirror Master
Weather Wizard
The Top
Captain Boomerang II
Pied Piper
Abra Kadabra
Michelle Harrison (CW’s Emily Owens, MD) has been added to the cast the CW/WBTV/DC pilot Flash about scientist Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) who becomes the Fastest Man Alive. She will play the guest starring/recurring role of Barry Allen’s mother Nora Allen. Repped by Russ Mortensen at Pacific Artists Management.
If she's just a recurring guest star, I imagine we'll probably see her as often as we've seen Oliver's father. I doubt it'll be as flashback heavy as Arrow. I just don't see how it would work that way. Barry doesn't have anything like Oliver being on the island to justifying having continuous flashbacks running parallel to present events.
