The auditions that actually get a certain actor the role they were auditioning for don't tend to make it online. At least not at this stage in the game.
I wish I could've auditioned for something.
Hey...I'm young and black...I could be Wally West. Thoughts, Kevin?t:
I'm still really looking forward to the show. I just don't like every single detail I heard about it. What a shock.![]()
And that's fine, but I don't see what's to be really disappointed with in the supporting cast, when all we have is one-sentence descriptions to go off of and a poorly done audition by an actor who didn't even get the part. I mean, is it the Iris being Barry's friend thing? Still?
Once again....Someone's overly defensive of Arrow and The Flash...
People SHOULD be critical of this stuff. This is beloved material being adapted here. If the fanbase blindly accepts every aspect of these comic book adaptations, the studios will stop caring about pleasing us, since we'd be so easy to please.
Well....the characterization for Iris and Barry given really does suck in comparison to the comics...there's really no way around that. It is pretty bad.
But there's still a bunch of other stuff to look forward to...like what will hopefully be an awesome Flash suit, Barry doing lab stuff and being late, and cool special effects for The Flash and his powers.
I like that people complain on here. If this place was only for praise it'd be boring. I'm glad that people like you aren't the only people on here! The conversations would go around in circles. There's a name for that... a conversation that goes in circles, where you're just praising everything... something to do with "jerk" and "circles" .... blast! what is that called again? That's a quick and easy way to justify a great deal of the fan *****ing that goes on around the Hype.

Uhhh look at Arrow. Arrow has made multiple changes that fans have called for. That doesn't mean they for sure make changes based on fan complaints, but it could be considered evidence towards that.Well to be fair, this isn't a studio thing.
It's a CW drama. Ultimately this will play out as the CW version of Flash. Even Arrow couldn't escape that.
I have to be honest. I love most of what we know of the show so far, but I am really disappointed in the direction they're taking the supporting cast.
But you're not funny... so no.![]()
That'll be $50. Cash or check?**** black Wally West.
But if he appears in the show I think The Boy Scout would be all wrong for the part of black Wally West regardless.![]()

The characterization that we have yet to actually see in action?

Why's that?
Don't hate.

You should see the Batman vs. Superman forum.
People are still bit**ing it's not exactly like the comics?
>IRIS: Are you ready for the big turn on? Because I agreed to go with you to the atom-smasher's smashing and in return you agreed I get to pick the next five times we go to the movies. Hope you like Channing Tatum, because you two are going to be very close soon.
>BARRY: Iris, I dont know if Im going to make it. Your dad kind of tore me a new one...
>IRIS: But seeing this thing go on is like your dream, your sad, nerdy little dream.
>BARRY: It could change everything we know about the universe. The accelerator sends beams, particles, and electron storage rings crashing into one another at high speeds.
>IRIS: Do we really need to stand next to it when it happens?
>BARRY: Statistically speaking any danger is almost an impossibility.
>IRIS: Arent you the one that believes in the impossible? Thats what you were looking for in Starling City, wasnt it?
>BARRY: Kind of.
>IRIS: Did you find it? Or did you make my dad mad for no reason?
>BARRY: I found a girl. I mean, I met one.
>IRIS: A girl! Good for you! When was the last time you went on a date? All you do is hang out with me.
>BARRY: About that. While I was away I got a chance to think about us... Youre my best friend, Iris.
>IRIS: Youre mine too. Why else would I be here?
>BARRY: Thats not what I meant. What I meant was
>IRIS: I know what youre going to say, Barry.
>BARRY: Im not sure you do.
>IRIS: Even though we pretty much grew up in the same house, were kind of brother and sister, but were not brother and sister, so it could get really weird and awkward talking to me about girls. But I want you to know that it shouldnt be awkward because there is nothing that I want more than for you to meet the right person that totally loves and adores you for the amazing guy that you are.
>BARRY: ... Took the words right out of my mouth.
>IRIS: Arent you glad that I know you so well?

>IRIS: Im not thirsty.
>BARRY: Let it keep your hands warm, at least.
>IRIS: ... Thanks.
>BARRY: You OK?
>IRIS: I dont know what that word means anymore after what I just saw We saw. How many people?
>BARRY: Iris
>IRIS: How many?
>BARRY: Twelve. Well catch the Trickster, whoever he is...
>IRIS: Thats really fantastic, Barry. You get on that. You catch him. Put him on trial. Put him in jail. Let him wake up every morning and eat breakfast and see the Sun. Unlike that little girl he just slaughtered in the street.
>BARRY: Youre right. Its not fair. But its what makes us not them.
>IRIS: Theres something else.
>BARRY: What?
>IRIS: I swear that I saw something a flicker of light, a gust of wind... Something that pulled one of the families out of the way of the debris. It was the way that you described it that night... What you saw in your house... The way that your mother was killed.
>BARRY: Iris, I was just a scared kid. I dont know what I saw.
>IRIS: You told me a million times that what you saw was impossible. Today, I saw the impossible to. And for the first time, I really believed you.
I remember that same argument being used for Arrow, for several of the aspects that are now highly praised. It's not that it's just that it's not better than the comics. (That particular aspect we were just talking about anyway) If it's not for the better don't do it, is my opinion.
