Judging by how he is now and the pilot hasn't even been filmed, i'm gonna say no.

He'll be one of those people that doesn't like the show but yet somehow manages to know everything that happened in every episode and does nothing but complain.

I mean that's just the indication I get.

Thanks for answering for me, hopefully the show won't suck.

But I hate to break it to you, but I'll always be around to talk about The Flash in some capacity. Whether it's film, TV, or comics. I want to make sure he gets his due. You'll just have to get over it.

I don't know how people who love comics can complain about "CW drama". A comic book is one big drama and not "CW drama" it more soap opera drama. People die somehow get resurrected, split personalities, amnesia, and so on.

Love triangles, long lost siblings, surrogate families/caretakers, offbeat best friends, etc.

People who complain about the CW drama need to look up Scott Summers

But they work in the context they're told in for the most part. The CW stuff is just bad. The drama in comics takes backseat to the action and superheroes - why we pick up the books to begin with, among other things, and not vice versa. They're cool and exciting and fun. The CW stuff just dulls and bores the **** out of me and draws out and overdramatizes the most boring of stuff.

Arrow barely suffers from "CW drama" these days, so I don't know why anybody would expect it from The Flash.

The stuff they've released for Iris just kind of flat out sucks so I guess that's why it wouldn't surprise me if it were there.

Fingers crossed.

He's referring to her relationship with Barry (childhood friends) and her new profession (I think).

"OMFG she's going to be a psychology student instead of a reporter! DAT'S SO CW DRAMA!!!!!" :o

Season 2 has been much better than Season 1 in terms of CW drama. They'll probably keep the same tone for The Flash.

Well to be fair, the same people who have had trouble getting a lawyer involved in the main plot of Arrow are doing this. It seems like a psychology student would be even harder to work in. Unless the Rogues are all psycho killers which would most likely suck.

I think Iris can afford to have a storyline independent of Barry and the villain of the week. Everything doesn't necessarily have to tie into everything else, though I do understand why one would want her to be regularly involved in the weekly crises.

They do not always work. How does batman getting raped by talia al'ghul ever work?

Or Dick Grayson getting raped by Tarantula. Or the New 52 Teen Titans fiasco, etc. A LOT of comic book drama flat out sucks, or is even offensive.

But they retconned that to make it rape. They had always had sex... There was no need to go back and make it rape.

When Damian happens.
Except that initially, Damian was the result of a consensual sexual encounter between Batman and Talia. Then Grant Morrison retconned it in his neverending quest to destroy Talia's character.

I know. But the kid wasn't technically Damian until it was a rape.

And I found Morrison's Talia more interesting than any other version of her. So, kinda glad he "destroyed" her.
