I'm starting to warm up to the idea of Ryan Gosling.

Ryan Gosling is a great actor.

But for some reason, when I see Ryan Gosling as Batman, I see this:

It used to be the thing to respond by stating that Gosling doesnt have much respect for comicbook movies [as he supposedly said so in an interview once] but I'm unsure if that was ever debunked or not.

Na he's said he's always wanted to do one. But one that is out of the norm and isn't formulaic. That's partly why he did Drive, which is basically a superhero film.

He is a great actor but for Batman? Na.

Just watching the trailer for The Raven for the first time and i gotta say i definitely got some Batman/Wayne vibes from Luke Evans, he would be a interesting choice

Karl Urban as Bruce is an interesting choice but outside of Star Trek he hasn't impressed me much.

Jeffery Wright as Lucius Fox is spot on perfect. I'm not sure I want that character in the reboot though. Batman's IQ needs a boost IMO.

I am REALLY liking the idea of Sean Bean as Gordon, though.

I am hoping they won't revisit any Nolan villains for a while, so I would prefer Sharlto Copley as The Riddler.

 He's my second choice after Michael Fassbender. But since it's very unlikely Dat Fass will be able to do the film, he's my de facto first choice.

Too bad WB will probably never cast an openly gay actor as Batman.

I love karl urban. he'd be a good choice. i think he'd be a good balder the brave too.

and yes, cranston needs to be strange.

Heh, I almost suggested Theo James a couple of weeks ago myself, but decided I hadn't seen enough of his work to make him a serious suggestion. I just thought he had a great look and voice for it. And he was perfect in his role on Downton Abbey, too. He could be one to watch, imo.

I agree, I think he'd be fantastic.

I'm speechless.
Sean Bean must be cast in a Batman movie. It MUST happen.

Can Sean Bean do an American accent? Can Sharlto Copley?

I am pretty sure Sean Bean can. He didn't speak much in The Hitcher but I'm pretty sure it was with an american accent when he did.

I think he'd do just fine. In fact Drive is a very Batman-esque character, then you have Crazy, Stupid Love which shows he can handle the Bruce Wayne side as well, but...
I still say Gosling is much better suited for Daredevil.
...I have to agree here that DareDevil is a much better fit. Firstly, his build is much more along the lines Murdock's frame, and secondly he seems to be very New York-ish in all his movies, and that also lends itself towards Murdock as well.
