The Batman Reboot Casting Thread - Part 1

I've noticed a few people lamenting that Tom Hardy would have been an awesome Batman if he weren't Bane, so (if they don't go for my preference of an older Batman) what about his American doppelganger Logan Marshall-Green (Prometheus)?

I know it's unlikely, but if DC/WB go with a 40 something Bruce Wayne/Batman in the reboot I'd like to see either James Caviezel or Jon Hamm play him.

Based on POI and his connection to a Nolan already, and the fact hes a quiet badass, hes Batman

I dont think I need to argue this mans case on acting ability lol, he would be amazing as Alfred

Tough choice but iv always loved his work and finding someone to level Freeman's ability to be warm and serious equally as well, my Fox

Looking through this thread, I just dont get the pics of Hammer or Gosling. Not saying they are bad actors or anything but I cant feel it for Batman. And some of the others pics are quite interesting, while some (to me) make no sense lol. Cant just base it on looks! I did like that guy from Walking Dead for Batman tho..hmm.

I like Solmerhalder for Batman, may not be tall enough but the guy could pull it off.

Biehn would be great as Gordon, plus he's the same age as Cranston. Probably my third choice with Bruce Boxleitner as my #1.

Caviezel is awesome on Person of Interest, and he definitely has a 'badass' aura. I think he'd be a perfect older Batman.

The question is though, is Jim still dedicated to transforming his body for such a demanding role at his age?

I imagine the training would be incredibly strenuous.

Im throwing a more left field choice in Dominic Cooper hes a good actor.

Cooper was once considered for Jim Gordon by Chris Nolan but he turned it down. Cavill, Mortonsen, Bean and Pearce are also other names that came close to landing a spot in Batman Begins.
