The Batman Reboot Casting Thread - Part 1

I agree there lol

But he has got the look, the presence, the height, the voice...all he needs now is the costume!

This is getting a tad ridiculous.

You all think that because someone can act, can have a deep voice, is moderately charming, and has some screen presence that he should be Batman?

And here I thought Christian Bale had no jaw.

He looks more like a Bruce Banner than a Bruce Wayne.

Because ones jaw should be the only defining factor for who gets the role as Bruce Wayne/Batman. You have great vision there.

You dismiss everything that is important and should be necessary for the role as if it were nothing and suggest that the jaw is the make or break aspect when it comes to casting for Batman.

I honestly can't tell if you're joking or not.

Pace has got Batman's jaw...The Batman cartoon version's jaw :p

You'll have to excuse my vision for not jumping at the idea of an actor for Batman because he has some basic acting tools.

Being a good actor, having screen presence, and having a deeper voice are the very basics of several superheroes, let alone Batman.

Uh, no. I dismissed nothing. The jaw thing was a seperate thought entirely.

He should, however, probably look a bit more like Bruce Wayne/Batman.

Pace doesn't.

And yet suddenly everyone is going gaga over him. He's a solid actor. He has some range. I've seen absolutely nothing yet that suggests he's right for Batman. Even a cartoon one. Even with his facial hair.

Could he play Batman? Who knows. Probably to some degree. There are probably hundreds of actors in Hollywood who could. That doesn't make him right for the role, or the best choice.

Pace doesn't.
Nor did Keaton...Kilmer...Clooney...even Bale doesn't look like him.

But as I said about Lois Lane, the reason why I'm okay with Amy Adams' red hair is because Lois had red hair back in the day. She looks like the classic version.

Pace looks at least something like a medium of Batman, even if it is a cartoon! :hehe:

But really, it doesn't matter that much.

I'm all for Pace, and his eyebrows are just fine. :o

I'd kind of prefer him in the role of Batman than the role of Dr. Strange, where he's also a popular choice.

Change "moderately" to "very" and add "is handsome" and "good with dark roles" to that list, and I say: Yep.

I wanted Liev Schreiber for Harvey Dent before TDK (I did love Eckhart, though) and I still would love to see him play the role.

Blech, no. Wasn't a good suggestion then, isn't one now. :down

You support Gina Carano for Wonder Woman shut the poop up. You think you're the authority on the casting of every single comic book film

EDIT: For some reason I read Gina Carano as Carla Gugino

I said Carano is a realistic option that WB would look at. I support more than 7 actresses over Carano for Wonder Woman, but understand that Carano is a possibility.

Truth be told, Gugino would have made a stellar Wonder Woman a few years ago.

She definitely would have.

Hoping to see her as Mercy Graves in the Man of Steel timeline.

I don't like Pace for the extraordinarily shallow reason that I don't find him attractive.

He's got kind of a goofy, but lovable face...I'm totally straight btw :p

But there are other shots where he looks dark and moody, which is cool!

I think audiences would buy him as a successor to Bale.

Good age, good look, can't say I've seen him in anything though.

Check out his work in Game of Thrones, he can pull off unhinged and manic depressive quite well.
