Problem for him is he has a weak chin look, sorta like Shia lebeof.
Bale has a pretty weak chin if you ask me. :whatever:

I'd tell you it's just not good, but then I'm sure someone will just chime in and try to say I don't like good actors or something else just as generalizing.

Nicolaj Coster-Waldau would be great but I personally really want him to play Aquaman. However, if an Aquaman movie is never going to happen in any shape or form (it probably won't, honestly) then he'd be find as Batman.

I also like Anson Mount. He's a great actor and definitely in shape for the role.

As for the whole thing about Caviezel being too old... I know that he's not far from Hamm, Olyphant or Mount in terms of age, but Caviezel LOOKS it. He might only be 43 but he looks more like he's 53. And I don't care what anyone says... his acting chops have fallen by the wayside.

My issue is that some characters are ok, but it seems really a young cast. There might an audience for it sorta like Twilighters but that is my only issue. I wouldn't see it and take my family to it but I'm old lol.

Waldau is a good pick I have no issue with not my first but decent.

Caviezel: Person of Intrests is an awesome series probably 2nd only under Fringe, and in the new Prisoner series he was great. They age him in the Person of Interest series as well.

I'm fine with an older Batman.

BUT starting off the reboot franchise with an older Batman would be a mistake.

I'd rather the actor be around Bale's age range now and become the older Batman towards the end.

Bale's in his prime age for Batman right now.

Bale already nailed 'young' Bruce perfectly for audiences... so there's really no need to go with an actor who's too young, or looks younger than Bale did in Begins (Hedlund, Hammer etc).

An actor born in the 1970s, who can pass for younger than his age and is in good shape for action would be ideal.

John Hamm looks old, especially next to Henry Cavill.

A fully established Batman played by a young actor, early 30's, is the best way to go.

An older Batman played by an older actor standing amongst an undoubtedly young cast of the JL would be odd and is unlikely going to happen.

Batman - Joaquin Phoenix
Alfred - Anthony Hopkins
Gordon - Robert DeNiro
Joker - John Hawkes
Two-Face - Terrance Howard

He has the look, height, acting. He's 33 but has looked the same for the last 10 years.

Hahaha! Breaking point reached?

:exp:

:p

And I've stated my feelings on Bentley. I've seen enough to know I don't find him that stunning or impressive enough for Batman and those eyes! No humanity in those things whatsoever!

LEE PACE BABY!!!!! :D

I still like the Wes Bentley idea.

Bentley's definitely on my list if they're going for the Golden Age animalistic Batman. Would be awesome.

Hunger Games has given him some good exposure for his comeback.

Anson Mount is my favorite if they're going for the TAS/Arkham City-inspired Batman. He has a great voice.

His character in AMC's Hell on Wheels is very Batman-like. He's avenging the death of his wife and child.

It's about time we had a Kevin Conroy Batman... He works better with the JL anyways, which is now going to happen! :D

Yeah, I like him, but he's all wrong for Bats in live action.

I was intentionally going for a younger Batman fresh out of Year One. I think there are a lot of interesting ideas from those early days that a TV show could explore (and that the movies have maybe only hinted at). That and I'm more interested in fleshing out a modern take on the classic Batman (kinda like BTAS) rather than adapting the more recent comics.
