Bentley > Somerhalder.

They may look alike, but at least Bentley has an actual film career with some high profile gigs on the horizon.

Vampire Diaries isn't much of a prerequisite for a Nolan-produced Batman film.

Love Somerhalder and if anyone's turning up their nose at him due to TVD, it's due only to their own ignorance, but he'd actually have to start doing some films to earn a high profile lead role like Batman.

I think Somerhalder should be Nightwing.

Anybody that's ever done work on a sexy vampire show is out of the running in my book. Their career choice has already soured me on their resume. :o

Fair enough, but for me, any actor who had anything to do with Nicholas Cage's Ghost Rider should automatically be ruled out.

If that were so, Idris Elba wouldn't be such a popular casting choice on SHH.

Somerhalder is a really good actor... I think he could pull off Batman, based on his work on Lost, Smallville and other things. I actually think his Smallville character was initially intended to be Bruce Wayne but then Batman Begins went into production and they didn't want to have two different actors playing Batman so they changed things around at the last minute. But regardless of that, he played a great Bruce-esque character.

My only issue with him is that (I think) he's pretty short and has kind of a small frame. He's still my pick for Drizzt Do-Urden though if they ever decide to adapt the RA Salvatore books.

Eh, imdb says he's 5'9.5". That's not too bad. He could just wear lifts. II'm glad to hear he's a good actor at least. I may have to check out his Smallville episodes.

No to this Somer guy. It would be like casting Taylor Kitsch as Batman.

Basically a mistake.

Hi,

I know that a lot of people won't believe what I will say but in opinion, George Clooney is still the best option as Bruce Wayne/Batman. I know what you're thinking right now; Batman & Robin was the worst batman movie ever and you're right. What I'm saying is that Clooney is a great actor but he just played in a movie wrongly directed. I'm pretty sure that with a great director, Clooney will give an excellent performance as Bruce Wayne/Batman.

Some actors are perfect for a superhero role like Robert Downey Jr; he's the perfect actor who could play Ironman. He has exactly the same shape than in the comics. About Clooney, just look at him in real life; he's rich, playboy, charismatic, a great actor who can easily play comedy than drama. I'm sure that with more muscles, he will be the perfect fit. Ok he maybe a little bit older than the other actor who played Batman but maybe it's time to make a movie with an older Batman. I mean we all know his story (parent's murder, training...). Maybe it will be better to show him as an experimented Batman, expert in detective stuff and stealth.

In conclusion, taking Clooney for the reboot would make a excellent sequel for Batman & Robin movie. Same actor but different (better) director. What about Robin and Batgirl? Robin became Nightwing and Batgirl as Oracle.

You may like or dislike my post but as I said, this is my own opinion and I really hope that it will be seriously considered.

Have a pleasant day!

Welcome, poumap.

And Good God, a big fat NO! to everything you said :)

Clooney has all the attributes to be a great Bruce/Batman but he's damaged goods as far as the character is concerned imo. Too much B&R baggage. However, in another reality I'd like to think that he never did Batman & Robin, understood the character a bit more and came aboard to play a more serious, older Batman - knocking it out of the park in the process.

^Right. Clooney will never play Batman again. Not in this life.

Hi DawnWarrior, sorry I didn't know you were a medium who could see in the future but like I said, it is my own opinion.

Clooney was a pretty good Batman, in his own right.

Except for the fact that there was no effort there whatsoever and it was actually pretty terrible, yeah...

Whatever he was going for, a gay Batman apparently...he was good at it ;)

A Batman who'd made peace with the fact that his parents had been murdered and was Batman simply because he liked it. WTF?!
