Kate Winslet for Ivy.
Kristen Bell for Harley Quinn.
Melissa George for Catwoman.
Olivia Wilde for Vicki Vale in a role no bigger than in Arkham City.

No Julie Madison please.
You facepalm my comment about Olivia Wilde as Julie Madison (a character i dont like anyway) yet you cast her for Vicki Vale?? Lmao.

My face palm was to you casting Hendricks as Ivy simply because she's physically gifted and a redhead; besides, she's better suited for Circe in a Wonder Woman film. Facepalmed at Jessica Chastain because not only is she better fit for other characters, little to no one here has brought her up prior to her original casting in Iron Man 3, now she's close to being suggested for everything. And my facepalm to Wilde had nothing to do with the actress, that was other posters' issue, mine was you cast a character you don't want to see; then why bother.

Winslet, Bell, and Wilde have always been in my reboot cast, Melissa George is the only one I've changed.

I think Jim Caviezel is my pick at the moment. He's great at dark roles, and a terrific actor to boot.

I love to see him as Batman, but he's 43 now and so so he's probably too old.

Right... as much as I want Hamm, the person cast for Batman has to own the role for the next 10 years.

I'm really hoping that origin stories are done so maybe someone at 25-30 works.

You need someone older due to the fact they won't be doing another origin story. You'll at least need an actor who looks older than bale did when he was playing a rookie batman.

Only Ben Stiller would be able to play Batman now.

there's no way they're not going young. if they can't get bale to return, they're going to get someone in cavill's age range.

Casting Olivia Wilde as Julie Madison was the point. As i said, im not a fan of the two but the poster wanted to squeeze her in a role. So i made her fit, i was just screwing around cuz i dont want them in the reboot.

I had no idea about Chastain/Iron Man, If Vale is going to be a part of the reboot they need some credibility and casting Chastain is a great actress with a look that suits Vale. She can adapt too so she can play different characters. But it's still my pick.

Hendricks is because i think she's perfect for the role. Not just because she's hot and is a redhead. The way she acts, the look and me just thinking about Nicolas Refn directing a Batman movie with her as Ivy would be pretty cool. Even though it probably wont happen. She fits better than Winslet IMO. I dont see that at ALL.

I dont like Kristen Bell and i think everybody jumps on the Bell-Harley bandwagon so im gonna say no to that.

Melissa George is actually a pretty good choice. But i dont really want Catwoman in the reboot. Or if she is, i would want it to be after a few movies. That's if they keep the next series going and going and dont stop at a "trilogy". Then i would be OK with the returns of Selina, Harvey. But i guess George would be too old by then.

I've wanted jessica chastain for jean grey ever since i saw her "the tree of life". the problem is, she'll probably be too old when ever they get around to recasting the role. she's incredible though.

Hopefully they won't be doing another origin.

No way will they be doing another origin story. But I suspect the movie will have flashbacks, in order to get people settled in.

And I don't believe the reason in having an older actor than Bale playing Batman. Even if a younger actor gets picked, it doesn't have to mean Batman's a rookie or anything.

I'm inclined to agree with you, but ya never know. It is my hope they don't.

I agree about whether or not having an older actor play bruce or not. You don't have to do that to have him established as batman already.

I see Caviezel mentioned a lot but I see him most perfectly playing Bruce Wayne from Batman Beyond when he has his last adventure before his heart condition comes up. Sure, he'd probably never do such a small part and Batman Beyond will most likely never get made, but that's where I see him.

Haha, you know, if he was a little younger... I'm not saying he would work, but if there's one actor out there who is versatile as hell, it's Turturro. It would be one of those out-of-left-field castings, but he might actually be able to pull it off.

And having crazy eyes is wrong for Batman.

That's the reason I never liked the idea of Bentley for the role. He has evil eyes imo.

The actor should have angry eyes...but compassionate eyes too, sad eyes. After all, Bruce Wayne has had those emotions since he was a child...sad and angry. Crazy? God NO! :p

But there are never enough scenes in any Batman film that makes me care to see his emotions while in the Batsuit. I love the whites over the eyes, because you can't see what's in them...all you see is something terrifying. That's kind of why I want the cowl to be something like Nite Owl's, so Bruce can easily slip the mask on and off. So we quickly and easily see things that we haven't seen before.

Say somebody gets hurt, and we desperately want to see the emotion in his eyes, his face...but the lenses and mask prevents that...but with a mask he easily can slip on and off, it would be ideal

I like Witwers look but does he have the chops?

Yeah. Imo ,the guy could pull the role off in his sleep. I think he'd be more of a blend of Keaton and Bale. He's played heroes and villans so I could believe him as charming or shallow one minute then mysterious and brutal the next. He's got my vote but that's just me.

He's not my favorite for the role but I would be just fine if he were cast. He's got the essentials to be Bats.

I've only seen him in Smallville, but I was impressed with his performance. He's a pretty good actor.
