Dazed and Confused is the best movie ever made.

Goodfellas is right up there, but not for realism. Anyone who's a Howard Stern fan knows how much that movie didn't get Henry Hill remotely acurate, and being that he's the main character you couldn't really get the most "visceral" portrayle of "The Mafia" (La Cosa Nostra) considering Henry Hill was only an associate at best and not a member of it.

Very good point. The character Henry Hill was very different from the real Henry Hill. The real Henry Hill wasn't the suave, handsome character who managed to woo Karen by skillfully navigating her to the back entrance to The Copacabana. He was scum, and also short and ugly as opposed to Liotta's tall and handsome. Hill himself did say though that about 99 % of the film is accurate.

There are some things I wish they had included in the movie. Like for example how Paulie actually had an affair with Karen and Tommy attempted to rape her. Of course, to get the full story, the film would be about 24 horus long.

Well a few films have a personal importance to me, All the little animals, Closer, in the mood for love+2046, Chunking express, but IN A LONELY PLACE still remains my favourite, it manages to move me greatly, whilst employing sophisticated film techniques, style and stars the greatest actor of all time, so that would be mine. (and I watch a lot of films)

Well In the mood for love+2046 are suberbly made films, but they aren't as personal and moving to me as JSA or Chunking express etc.
Fellini's 8 1/2 is one of the best made movies of all time, but I still prefer IN A LONELY PLACE, as a filmmaker, I would argue they are not the same thing.
