why do you need to know that? she has been targeted for assasianation..if thats not enough to get your ass in gear and try to evade it(ie runaway, drop off all communication grids),then i don't know what to tell ya.

i do agree that if they were to keep her around for all three films give her a more concrete storyline and character development.

Bourne also had a gun to her head in the 2nd movie but i didnt see her being brave then, or mentioing about their previous relationship before he became Bourne. IMO a of the 3rd movie was inconsistant with the first 2 when it came to Nikki.

Finally gonna watch it tonight!!!! :D

Got my tickets to watch it with my friend and my dad at 10:05 pm, so now I'm gonna watch Identity and Supremacy back to back ;)

Hey, I was thinking of getting that "Bourne Files" set because the Identity disc has the extras for both the regular version AND the extended version, plus the Ludlum disc, but I was wondering if maybe I should wait for a trilogy set, maybe it'll have more extras

This will be released around here this thursday. I look forward to seeing it.

HOLY CRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAP!
This movie doesn't let you rest!
Man, this is my favorite trilogy ever after the Indiana Jones trilogy.
Wow! I loved it!!!!

^I wish i agree with all of the people who loved this movie, but ending was just so dissapointing to me.

To each his own, friend.
I loved the ending.
Also, I used to hate Julia Stiles for some reason, even in the previous movies, but I found myself having a big crush on her now, WTF she's not even Asian
I hope they make a 4th movie :(

Yeah, I liked the ending aswell.

There was a report saying that a fourth movie could happen.

^What dissapointed me about the ending was the fact that Jason volunteered for the project was meant to be some big revelation, but to me, it was obvious from the Bourne Identity that that was the case.

So the big revelation was just a nothing in the end, severly dissapointing IMO, and a shame, as the rest of the movie was good.

Just got back from the Epilepsy Ultimatum, i enjoyed the story, yes, it retread some of the the second movie in it's jumping from place to place picking up plot points formula but it was enjoyable piecing it together and the payoff at the end when Bourne confronts his "Maker" was excellent, the acting all round is good, Damon is credible in his role and Pamela Landy is the series' best supporting character IMO

I accept the lapses in logic and coincidence as this is a film, i do however wish Nikki had stayed in it longer, the flashback to the scene with Marie reminded me of why Identity is easily my favourite of the trilogy. Also a shame we never get full confirmation on what the Bourne/Nikki relationship from the past was.

The problem with this movie is in how it's shot for me, every scene the camera is moving and the film is edited to death, even in quieter conversational moments the bloody thing is shaking all over the place, The action is virtually pointless IMO, The waterloo sequence was the best one in it as Bourne guiding the journo around was nicely concieved and the editing, while still a tad manic showed some restraint, the Tangier scene was brilliantly concieved but shot and edited as if it were a covert operation to assassinate any person with epilepsy who happens to see it, the fight with Desh was "i guess" brutal but they could have been having rough sex for all i know as the camera was just about down their throats and it had 8 million edits in it.
The car chase was another pretty big jumble but the finale stunt of the chase was the best and most prolonged action shot of the film, my cousin did say to me "I'll Be Back" As Bourne pushes the windscreen through and gets out of the car alive and well.:D

All in all a decent thriller with some good acting and a story that ties the trilogy up well but killed by the shaky cam and horrid action, i can't help but wonder what this would have been like in the hands of Ridley Scott, Michael Mann or John McTiernann, where action could have matched the story.

7/10

If it was directed by Michael Mann or John McTiernan of today, it probably would've sucked.

I mean did you SEE Miami Vice or Rollerball? Sorry but I think Mann is just 50/50 with his movies, and McTiernan is past his prime as a quality director.

I thought all the action sequences in the movie were amazing. The kinetic camera shots just mean you have to be a more active viewer.

Nikki/Bourne, the implication was there, that's all you really needed.

Yeah i saw Miami Vice and i saw this and i saw Supremacy and i saw Collateral, i'd take Mann, give McTiernann a good script and he'd be fine. this had a good script.

You liked them, fine, but don't give me that active viewer stuff, trying to murder ppl via epilepsy has nothing to do with not paying attention. in an action movie i want to see action not arms and legs and 800 cuts a minute.

All YOU needed.

It was a great movie!

I think the shaky cam works good during the action scenes... but not for the quieter moments. Then it just gets dizzy.

OK, I'd never seen The Bourne Identity before and I got Supremacy as a gift from a friend. So this week I decided I'd finally cough up the dough and watch all three films back to back.

Bloody hell, that was the arguably the most thrilling ride I've had watching a film, ever. I thought Identity was pretty good, but Supremacy really knocked me out and Ultimatum just kept pounding me even more without letting up. Paul Greengrass is now easily one of my favorite directors now. His disticnt touch on the Bourne films is what make them stand out - down to earth, gritty, kinetic...I just don't get why so many people have a problem with the way the fight scenes are filmed. I could understand them just fine from what I remember. Sure Identity's action was clearer, but in my opinion it just didn't feel as visceral as Supremacy or Ultimatum's. I swear I could feel my heart pounding in my throat during the one on one fights and car chases.

And looking back a page or two in the thread, those who are complaining of the piss-poor "twist" in the end are probably looking at the whole thing the wrong way. I think it was quite obvious to the audience from almost the very start that Bourne had volunteered for the program. The shock is really meant for Bourne in that all the flashbacks of his painful memories made it seem to him as if he was some kind of a victim, especially in light of the fact that he really thought of himself as someone moral and righteous particularly after Marie's death and his "confession" in the end of Supremacy.

Anyways, the stunt Bourne pulls in Supremacy in the climax of the car chase scene that takes out Karl Urban's character, and the "he drove off the roof moment" in Ultimatum...

F**k. :wow::up:

Exactly, so why give us it instead of something we didnt know before.

Plus, we know he wasnt a victim, he has killed people in cold blood after all.

It gave me flash backs to X2 when Striker told Logan he had volunteered.

Yeah baby, yeah!
I am SO getting the limited collection.
I'm just hoping they'll include the Idenitity disc that came with the Bourne files set, because it has the extras and commentary from the first release and the extras from the "Explosive" edition. But I guess they will.

Great that this will be out for Christmas. I'll be getting that Boxset

I'm glad I waited before buying any Bourne DVDs. I'm definitely getting the boxset.

yeah in case you did'nt notice, bourne chose to help her escape in the third one...your being very ridiculous about this. it's pretty obvious you're trying too hard to hate the film.

That looks awesome. Hopefully it will be the theatrical cut of Identity and not that ****TY extended edition.
