sorry for the delay guys but real life is owning me right now. Got my ALL STAR posts up yesterday. HEROES posts coming tomorrow

I know the feeling. Finals have been kicking my ass. Plus I got behind on my observations, meaning I've had to spend a lot of time student teaching.

Ares and Logan posts up soon d00dz. Any of the Avengers actually want to chip in and get some licks in on Typhon? I've been sat on my hands waiting, but want to move forward a touch more before the season is over.

I'll post as Stark today, if'n the mods don't start working on the hype again.

Screen Name: TrueMastermind

Character you would like to play: Iron Lad

Powers: Will soon posess an armor similar to Iron Man's that can respond and change its appearence in accordance to his thoughts. In IM style, the suit grants him super strength and the ability to fly, and the ability to fire energy blasts.

Three reasons why you have chosen that character:

1. I was looking through articles of people I might want to play and his story intrigues me the most.

2. Like his "powers", feel like he'll be fun to play.

3. haven't seen anybody pick up any Young Avengers

Write two complete sentences using proper English grammar explaining what you think you can bring to the RPG: An fun and interesting character, and quality posts. Will likely never start to be unactive.

How many times do you intend on posting a DAY IN the RPG: at least 1

Please provide a sample post in the style that you plan to write your character in (must be at least 3 paragraphs long and contain at least 1 line of dialogue):
"You see what happens when you talk back wimp?!"

"Yeah, you better learn some respect!"

"And we can tutor ya in that subject!"

Brutal. Harsh. Painful. Many words could describe the beating performed on the frail Nathanial Richards by 3 boneheaded neighborhood bullies. Apparently, if you go by their logic, spitting out a little witty quip in an effort not to look like a punk is disrespectful. Or maybe they were just looking for a little fist-to-fist action. Well actually, it was more fist-to-face, but you get the general idea.

"Please.....stop..."

"Shut up twerp!" The brutality was seemingly endless, with the barrage of fist and feet constanly connecting with the helpless Nathanial's body.

"It....hurts...."

"STOP!" All movement halted for a brief second before the four adolescents turned to discover who this new arrival was. And oh, they recieved quite a shock.

Do you know how to post pictures on the hype boards: yep yep

Tried to get a Hulk post up last night, but the Hype wasn't cooperating. I'll see about trying again once I get back from town today.

Sorry about slacking off, guys. Gonna wrap up my Norman Osborn stuff real soon. Got some big things planned for next season.

Approved!

Okay, so I just happened to be reading the first page of the RPG and I stumbled upon Catman using Iron Lad with Vision. Perhaps, I should have asked about his history first. But I will still play him. But now I would like to know where the Lad was last seen. And can I get some info on what has happened in this season so far? Thanks. :woot:

Yeah, it sucks when real life gets in the way. I've had similar problems myself lately. But when you're ready, bkhedr set up your cue. :yay:

Some crazy s**t went down. The end.

Oh, you need more? :oldrazz:

Right, let's think. A big part of the beginning of the season was the superhero bounty. A public bounty was placed on the heads of all the major superheroes - the higher profile the hero, the higher the fee. Everyone - from regular villains of the public to major league supervillains - was getting in on it, trying to claim the bountys. It was eventually revealed that Red Skull was behind it.

The Avengers reformed, with the current roster being Spider-Man, Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Loki, Hawkeye and Mockingbird, I believe.

After a near brush with death, Steve Rogers decided to go on some soul searching, giving up the mantle of Captain America and handing it over to Bucky Barnes, who has taken Rogers' place on The Avengers.

Bkhedr has masterminded probably the biggest storyline of the season, bringing back Thor and Loki (trapped in the body of a mortal woman) from the dead, and tying them into an ancient prophecy regarding Chthon returning to claim Earth after the age of the Aesir had come to an end. Chthon sent his servants - the Ifrit - to Earth, and there was something of a battle of wills between the heroes and the Ifrit in an attempt to demonstrate to the Living Tribunal that mankind still deserved to live on. Eventually, Chthon emerged on Earth, but was vanquished by the Avengers, thanks largely to the sacrifice of Thunderstrike.

This transitioned into the current storyline going on with us, with The Avengers searching for the 9 Norn Stones, in an attempt to restore Asgard and the 9 Worlds. Loki has just revealed to Thor that he has been decieving him once again, having been collecting the Norns all along behind Thor's back, and betraying him to acquire all the stones Thor had gathered. Loki now only has one more stone to get, before he uses them for his own mysterious ends.

The Mandarin has been causing lots of high profile trouble recently, between sending a giant robot with the brain of Adolf Hitler to attack New York and nearly triggering a war with France.

Norman Osborn has shed his Green Goblin persona and picked up a new alter ego: The Iron Patriot. He has taken on the guise of a government-sponsored superhero in an effort to win over the American public, recently battling and apprehending Dr. Doom.

Sabretooth has steadily risen up amongst the ranks of New York's criminal underworld, engaging in a brutal turf war with The Kingpin where I believe he eventually emerged as victor.

There is plenty of other stuff I know I'm not covering, but hopefully that's a start on getting you to grips with the happenings of the season.

...Damn...thanks for the info...Imma get started right now

I promise to get back on the ball. Been working through some tough times here.

To the best of my knowledge, nobody has picked her up or used her this season.

I...give up my Deadpool role. I just can't think of a way for him to be involved with the direction the RPG is going.

So, Deadpool's open now. I'll stick around to watch, though.

Temptation to pick up Deadpool...

Maybe don't give him up just yet. The season's almost over, then it's a new season and a clean slate, for you to do whatever you want with Deadpool. :yay:

Would anyone disapprove of me applying for Deadpool if SpiderByte is really dropping him? I've been wanting to get back into the thick of this game and have lost interest in Namor so why not see how I fair with the Merc with a Mouth I figure

If he comes back on and says he doesn't want DP, then feel free to apply.

I've got no problem with it, Blacklight.

Keyser, the thing is I just can't figure out exactly what Deadpool would do next. I wrote myself into a corner.

I'll try for a different role next season

You can do a solo arc till the end of the season as well.

I'm glad you're at least going to stick around next season, even if it's with a different character.
