"Uh... It's kind of obvious that the end of MOS is not "a few days later". And GL is right... The fanboys are the ones that get super persnikety about this stuff. Just like they won't care that WW and AM have "magic" as part and parcel of their origin despite some fans wanting to turn these films into theoretical physics classes just so they can sleep well at night knowing that fantasy sci fi and fantasy magic can exist in the same fictional universe despite DECADES of film and tv showing that nobody has a problem with it."

Fair enough - i like your reply, but with todays technology, they would be able to pick something up, that there is activity down the bottom of the oceans - even if it wasn't revealed to the public! The military would be all over it and the gods protecting paradise isle? that opens up even more questions. It just feels to me, that a joined universe was an after thought! If they really were keen on a shared universe, they would have had a few more nods, hints or where this was going - but having said that, i not complaining as all these answers may be revealed in BVS.

With the greatest respect, how is it obvious that the ending of MOS was not a few days later?

We've only been able to explore around 5% of the ocean. I don't think today's technology would pick up anything.

Whether or not a joined universe was an afterthought isn't really that important. It's happening now and there was no need to make any knowing winks to it, even though the film certainly did. Iron Man works perfectly well, without the post-credits scene, as the set up for the MCU.

The ending wasn't a few days later, because there's no way any of that makes sense a few days later. Aside from the uplifted mood and at least partial reconstruction of the Daily Planet/Metropolis, it's more than unrealistic to think Clark could've crafted an identity, applied for a job, and been hired within a few days.

I don't have to type out the obvious answers since you already did. ;)

Holy crap. Keaton as Gordon. Now he's the only choice. So perfect. Even more preferable than Cranston or Kurt Russell

I hope not.

This would be like Sean Connery taking another role in a Bond film. Don't mess with history. Keaton is part f the Batmen. One of the best.

Yeah, it'd be too much of a stunt casting for me, regardless of his acting abilities.

I can confirm that Gordon was murdered by Batman via the guns on the Batmobile, which is why Bruce decided to retire. :o

Not true. Gordon was murdered by Superman in MOS. He kicked a building from Metropolis to Gotham and it landed on the police station. Gordon actually managed to survive this, however, so Superman swooped down and snapped his neck.

I wouldn't mind Tom Seleck as Gordon, he seems like the animated Gordon to me, big, broad etc.

If anything i want Keaton to go back the Beatlejuice universe if he is to revisit any at all.

I want Christopher Walken for Gordon. And I want it now.

Agreed, I've always thought he would be a good Gordon. Unfortunately however, that's unlikely to ever happen, as he is after all playing a major city's police commissioner in his current TV series. Wouldn't want him to get typecast, now would we??

So do you folks think Snyder will drop something between today and tomorrow? It's almost one week of Aquamoa.

I don't. At this point I consider Snyder to be the most unpredictable person on the planet. So reading into "one week from Aquamomoa" is something I'm not doing. Anything could happen at any time. Snyder's teases and releases have no rhythm.

hopefully we will get something in March considering it will be the one year mark before the release of the movie

...has there been any thought that they may do a "Superman is dead" scenario, sorta like - the world grows or is led to believe Superman is bad so they hate. Clark doesn't understand and is hurt and feels unwanted -un appreciated so he "disappears" and is thought dead after some brawl choosing to live anonymously, sorta like Spiderman 3 when he throws away his suit etc.? Only coming back to save the U-mans once again when really needed, changing the hearts and minds of not only the public - but Batman and they become buddies ?

Not that I want this, but there seems to be a tendency to regurgitate ideas. Also not that this wouldn't work as a plot devise but not new. There have been some animated Superman stories like this I think.

just wondering.

That has been a rumor for a while (usually part and parcel with the Doomsday rumor) but obviously there is no evidence of it. The idea of killing (or fake killing) Superman after they used his movie to jump start the DCCU seems ludicrous to me.

The fact that people think that would make a world that hates Superman (in the movie) love him just confuses me. If he had died fighting Zod the world would not have embraced him, now he gets in another big brawl and dies and the world praises him? That strains credibility in my mind...

... I tend to agree... but I have also seen Hollywood do this kind of thing over and over. I hope they find a new, better way to drive the story.

thanks for the thoughts.

This movie is meant to drive a redemption story for Superman, for him to become the hero we all know and love.

He can be responisble for aspiring Batman to have faith in humanity again, and meeting other heroes, who would come into his world.

Question: How do we know people are mad at Supes cause of the Zod stuff in MoS? Is there proof of that?

Cause I think it could be possible they are mad due to something bad that happens in BvS. Perhaps Lex has Metallo pretending to be Supes doing horrible stuff to turn the public against Supes?

Couldn't it be possible that the people loved Supes after MoS, Lex got jealous, created a fake Supes to trick the public, and riled the public up? That makes more sense to me. It would explain A) why Bats is against Supes and B) how the people could easily go back to loving Supes once Lex's scheme is exposed.

Feel free to show me if there is any proof otherwise, but I think I've got a potential theory that works well here.

I agree with this stuff.

It's going to be Lex Luthor manipulating the public through his own influence and channels, to cater to his own jealousy about this god-like hero, who is superior to him.

It will show how intelliegent, smart and powerful Lex Luthor can be.

It's going include a lot of media/public perception themes in this movie too.

...at the end of MOS, Clark does go to the "rebuilding in progress" Daily Planet and is not unduly sad that there is hating going on. But there is also the Drone scene where the Gov wants to know more about Supes and do not trust completely, or at least some in power...so the set up is there.
