I'm not so sure it's struggling with the weight but what could be happening in both the oil rig and the rocket's case is that he is having to handle it softly ,cushioning the impact to prevent the thing from cracking open like an egg. or snapping like a twig.

Chronology is wrong, I'm pretty sure Batman already weakened Superman by kryptonite during the mech-suit fight. Note that he was able to bring him down when they crashed through the skylight.

Also, it is the same place that was shown on IMAX screening where they run toward each other and same one where Batman stands and looks through the hole in the roof while in mech-suit in the teaser trailer, I believe.

I'm pretty confident that Batman starts the fight with the Mech suit on. That scene of them running at each other is the start of the fight. Not the first time they've met, but certainly the start of the big throwdown. Batman lights the light to show Supes where to meet him after school. Batman then uses a series of boobytraps and "vehicles" during the fight. So the rooftop is the start. The batmobile is the end unless Batman pulls out krock.

I certainly don't think that the plan is for them to start forming the League at film's end, but I do think that there will be some concrete connective tissue laid out that points to the wider world of DC heroes and villains. Shown throughout the film itself.

My own mini theory is that the AQUAMAN we saw in that official picture is possibly, again, POSSIBLY, Arthur as he is in a world in the future as glimpsed by WW, a world ravaged by a tyrant "Superman" that is actually a duplicate and not the actual Man Of Steel.

I agree there will be connective tissue to the other movies and the larger DC film universe. I just think they may save the heavy team building stuff for JL.

Yeah there isn't gonna be some "Spider-Friends, GO FOR IT!" moment at the end. They will part on good terms by film's end or it might even be more muted, simply understanding and respect but not friendship per se.

I think Lex finds kryptonite at the site of the WE wreckage and discovers it may be harmful to kryptonians. The government gives him Zod's body to test it on. I think any attempt to extract DNA from Zod would be met with failure. He may be dead but he's still invulnerable....if they follow the comics

Ah... But if they have Kryptonite with which to use on the body then the extraction of genetic material does become possible as well as all sorts of other things. Even in the comics things like using Kryptonite while performing surgery on Superman has been a thing.

Currently I think Zod footage indicates: Technology for a powersuit, maybe even made by Bruce Wayne instead of Lex. Thus creating the Batman powersuit.

The suit Bats has seems pretty battle scars if you look at it. It has scratches and what not. Looks like it's seen some action. I'm inclined to think it has no connection to Zod's suit despite any surface similarities.m

I can't imagine Superman would just leave it there for anyone to grab or hand it over to anyone to analyze. His first instinct should've been to toss it into the sun or bury it in the Sahara.

I can forgive the writing on this if it's implied that Superman was busy helping with civilians (which I am sure we want to think he did rather than going, "I'm going to go out and help those people trapped in rubble... Right after I take Zod and bury him in the Arctic... Those people bleeding out can wait for a few more minutes) and the government scooped up what they could before Superman got around to doing stuff like grabbing the K-tech and picking up Zod's corpse. Once it was in government custody I can see Superman being uneasy about breaking into some official facility and taking it back. I hope he at least has the lion's share of K-tech. We know that the government has the beetle ship Zod left in the Arctic, but I would be displeased if Superman after helping with emergency response just flew off and left the wreckage of the scout ship in it's entirety there.

If we do it may be very brief. Sort of like Black Widow's origin wasn't really explained or mentioned until Age of Ultron. We'll probably get a reference but that's it.

Iron Man 2 was lackluster for reasons having little to do with the inclusion of Widow or elements teasing Avengers to my mind. Over all it was just unfocused and lazy with a poor villain and a go no where story for the hero. With or without Widow those things are the same.

Yes it was but the fact remains that while BW was in it her origin was briefly alluded to.
One of the things about movies that we lost in this new age of explain everything is that movie characters are supposed to have a life before the movie. We are supposed to get a sense we are catching them in the middle of their life.
Han Solo in Star Wars is a perfect example...we don't need to see Han Solo Rises or Han Solo Begins to understand his character. Everything we know about the character comes out in how he acts.
I could see something similar with WW. We may see bits and pieces of Paradise Island but I think her character will be revealed by how she acts. Her origin will more than likes be saved for the origin movie.
