I just hope Bats and Supes become friends before the third act.

I don't know about friends but allies. I think the second act will end with Armored Batman vs Superman. I think that fight will end with the realization that they were being played by Luthor. Act 3 will see an uneasy alliance over a common enemy but the movie will wrap with them being friends.

I pretty much have the same expectations as well. Loved the footage they released from the "dream sequence" showing an evil Superman unmasking the Batman!
I'm curious to see if this dream sequence starts out with Batman flashbacks, maybe losing Robin then turns more nightmare based with these visions of evil Superman.

I'm going with "Doomsday" (meaning they probably won't call him Doomsday but it will draw design inspiration from him and pretty much be the DCCU Doomsday). Big enough to establish a threat to Superman and everyone, not enough of an interesting character to deserve more than being the 3rd Act fight.

Although I am a little doubtful we will see much, if any, of the 3rd act villain.

If Lex gets his hands on Kryptonian cloning and birthing tech (and I expect that he will) I would not be surprised to see a clone of Superman that does Lex's bidding. In addition I would love to see a Zod-Bizarro played by Michael Shannon (there is an Easter egg in MoS to suggest this). But if we have an evil clone Superman, then that might be overdoing it a bit with Kryptonian clones. (Then again the big threat posed to the whole the world here is Lex's ability to clone Kryptonians. So maybe not.)

For the final battle I could see an evil clone Superman joined by Lex in his battle suit--and if Zod-Bizarro also exists then it's three against three. Lex's battle suit would be far more powerful than the one Batman uses to fight Superman. He would probably be Iron-Man-like.

But honestly, who knows. I kind of doubt it will be either Doomsday or Darkseid. I think at Comic-Con Snyder confirmed at least that Lex would not clone Doomsday from Zod's corpse.

The clone idea just doesn't sit with me - once cloning is out there, what's stopping them cloning every movie star, celeb, POTUS, fossils, even Batman and other heroes?

Plus, how does the clone manage to be the exact age and likeness, sure it's a clone, but to style his hair exactly like supes, i don't know - i always thought a clone would be more, rugged/raw not so much a cartoon like Bizarro but more he and frankenstein combined.

To your first point, there's a plethora of reasons. Perhaps the cloning process is imperfect and the clones can only survive for so long. Financial or technological limitations could prevent them from creating more than one. Or they simply only need one clone for the plan they have. Maybe the plan is to create more, but it's thwarted by the Trinity.

To your second point, because that's the way it's been written. This film isn't abiding by any real life scientific barriers. The clone looks perfect, because Lex is a genius billionaire and made him look that way. It's like saying Superman shouldn't look like a human, because when I think of an alien I think xenomorph.

Actually, the best reason I can think of against a Superman clone is how does Lex produce an adult so quickly? I would think that even on Krypton clones were simply birthed artificially but still developed through a normal life cycle.

If Lex somehow figures out how to speed that process up it could result in some undesirable results. One of which is that the person has no sort of ego development or social learning whatsoever.

Lex would have to try to train the clone how to behave. The clone will probably model itself after Lex's behavior then.
